From the designer:
In Political Perspective, players participate in a grassroots political campaign and try to build support for a piece of legislation over five rounds of play. Each round, players must appease certain elected representatives by adding earmarks; in return, those lawmakers lend support to the bill.
The game is played with a 4x4 grid of cards laid out in the center of the table. These cards change or move with each player's turn, and each person's viewing perspective of that grid determines how they score a round of play. Players use "mover" cards to change the grid and "shaker" cards to score the round, ideally both helping themselves and hurting the opposition in the process because nothing is more fun than seeing a lawmaker lose support and be surrounded by protestors, right?
