Description Edit | History

From the French (France) company Gigamic. Cover lists awards won by Quarto in a yellow band in the bottom right hand corner. The cover also states that it is the M (Medium) Format on the lower left hand corner. The back of the box previews the game in the 16 languages listed. Includes a rule book in the 16 languages listed. The board is heavy dark wood with the 16 spaces (again the number 16, were these designers mathematically obsessed with 16?) also in dark wood encircled by a lower cut to the lighter wood. The board bottom is set on five foam buttons. The box is best known for its inability to keep the pieces in place. I expect that most people either throw out the liner or place the 16 pieces in baggies to keep them from sliding around.

[From the box cover and back of box as well as the rules inside]
