Description Edit | History

Plato's Game (aka The Plato Game, le Jeu de Platon or just 'Plato') is 3D Tic-Tac-Toe at heart. The set produced by The Rumbold Gallery (Hampshire, UK) comprises three robust Plexiglas boards, brass screw-together struts and 28 1' diameter crystal balls (14 translucent blue and 14 clear). The rules include four variations on the basic game, including anti noughts and crosses (try not to form a line of three), the diagonal race (bottom left to top right, capturing opponent's pieces on the way) and, the most strategically interesting variation, the Declaration Game (declare when you believe you are ahead and specify the number of lines you have achieved).
