Description Edit | History

The Drueke Players' Choice set was officially introduced for public sale at the 1965 US National Open chess tournament in Las Vegas, and was so well received that every available set was sold. It went on to become perhaps the most well known and widely recognized set in US tournament chess.

Players' Choice sets were available in three sizes and with some sub-variations as well. The No. 35 set was the standard tournament set, and the most common version. It has weighted pieces with 3.75 inch kings.
