The First edition was published by Copp Clark in 1937. It has period art on the cover, and the box shows Canadian copyright 1937 with Canadian and American patents applied for.
This version came with a stand-up Quote Board that included a wheel and window to show the current price of each commodity, and stood upright facing the players on a built-in easel.
This version has only five money denominations: $25, $50, $100, $500 and $1000. A $5000 bill was added in later editions.
