Changes from first edition:


  • Removed $20 cost on tile west of New Orleans
  • Replaced playable hex NE of Boston with a printed gray track to slightly reduce size of map.
  • Added Great Northern Railway icon on hexes where the GNR private free track lay power can be used.


  • Increased Pullman cars to $20 per city instead of $10
  • Modified train exporting rules (export all 3-trains after operating round 3)
  • Removed North arrow on Denver metropolis tile
  • Removed one of the two 20/30/40/60 off map tokens from the game
  • Added the two 3+ trains and one 4+ train to base game
  • Removed Extended Version, now it is used by default for 5+ player games
  • Modified Free Station subsidy to allow token placement in a full city
  • Modified Resource subsidy to give a free track placement
  • Removed seed money rules, minimum bid for private companies is now 50% of face value
  • Changed Suem & Wynn token to automatically fill a station circle if one becomes available
