Back of box:

Monopoly is on of the world's best known and best selling board games and has been so since it was first launched in the 1930's. The game was invented during the Depression by an out-of-work American heating engineer called Charles Darrow. He used the street names of his favourite seaside resort, Atlantic City, and the original game was drawn on an oilcloth table cover. It is also said that he used the tokens from his wife's charm bracelet for the first Monopoly playing pieces.

This revised edition features all the familiar elements of the classic game, including the racing car, the dog and the top hat tokens, and the original playing board. It also comes with a specially designed bankers tray with separate compartments for the money, houses, hotels and Title Deed cards.
