Deso's Balance patch v2.2.pptx (stand alone)
Version changes Change log: Check bellow - here some highlights -
Wizards finally got a buff on Chronomage (and several combos due it).
Mad Scientists are converted into a more supportive play style.
Clerics got a hit on Cardinal but now have more disruption.
Super Heroes got two thematic changes.
Dragons got an additional gimmick - grow in power as other bases scores (Hatchling and Dragon Lands)
Several card reverts.
Smash up faction power balance leaves a bit to be desired.
So after some discussion and testing I came up with several card adjustments that should make the game more interesting, usually improving the weaker factions or even the tweaking the gameplay of strong ones to increase their unique identities and weaknesses.
This file includes paste ups for factions from the following sets:
Awesome Level 9000
The Obligatory Cthulhu Set
Science Fiction Double Feature
The Big Geeky Box
Pretty Pretty Smash Up
Smash Up: Munchkin
Smash Up: It's your fault
1 - Download and install a font very similar to smash up - Curse Casual
2 - Print on A4
3 - Cut them carefully (cut any black borders)
4 - Place those paste ups on the bottom half of each corresponding card (inside their sleeves)
Core set: Pirates and Tricksters are significantly changed/improved. Zombies and robots are changed a bit.
AL9000: Plants and Ghost should be more consistent to play and easier to use.
Cthulhu: Fishman are quite viable (with changes to 4 cards) MoC are way more powerful, ET lost card draw, hand and discard pile manipulation, but are better at minion destruction.
Monster: Vampires and ants are reworked into a high tier factions. Werewolves got a better frenzy and mad scientists leans towards a support faction.
SFDF: Time Travelers and super Spies are way better at their respective supportive niches.
PPSU: Buffs for Fairies and Princesses.
Munchkin set: Major rebalanced (no longer have treasures or monsters mechanics) - Warriors, Thieves, Dwarves and treasures (as a faction) completely reworked. Several buffs to the other factions.
IYF: Sharks reworked for a stronger identity (focuses on after minion destruction effects). Dragons reworked (lost card draw and gained a growth mechanic). Greeks lost (most) power counter gain in favor of (more) action play based mechanics.
