[HOUSE RULES]

My Insanity house rules on a single page, as described here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1652988/insanity-fixed

These rules emphasize the cooperative nature of the game.

Instructions: Deal out Insanity cards as normal, but instruct all players to ignore the text on the cards. Instead, reference this printable sheet for the precise effects of your Insanity condition. Some conditions have had their names changed, so if you can't find your card, look for the crossed-out names.

[CORE RULES]

This one-page document describes every available Insanity Condition. Next to each description is a cross-referenced list of rules explanations and possible house rules.

When a player gains Insanity, pass this sheet to the player. It can quickly answer rules questions the player might have, such as how the Set Fire action works, whether the term "item" includes spells, and so on.

Alternatively, when a player gains Insanity, allow every player access to this list. Now it's a behavioral guessing game: just which kind of Insanity does our little friend here have? This might help prevent BS games where the Insane player sneaks a win through while everybody else is still learning the rules.

Some groups may prefer to be pleasantly surprised by the antics of an Insane player, but I personally believe the game plays best when the group has a chance to predict and prevent an Insane player's win conditions.
