Mech Const.xlsx (70 KB)
This spreadsheet helps with mech construction. It also includes a critical hit chart for transferring the information to the record sheet. Improved! now includes upper arm actuators/upper leg actuators. (For quads you will still need to change the lower arm actuators into lower leg and hand actuators into foot actuators). Revised Version with fixed BV1 calculation for Streaks, Ultra AC, and rear firing weapons. Sorry folks about errors, but fixed errors with Masc weight/crits and BV heat points.

BattleTech Cyberboard Gamebox (brazillian portuguese)
By: nerun
|
BattleTechv221CB301.zip (1.55 MB)
BattleTech gamebox v2.21 for Cyberboard v3.01
I made this gamebox for Cyberboard in 2005. All instructions and tables are in brazilian portuguese, but once you own the original rules it doesn't matter. Pieces and boards are OK. And there are a lot of boards: the default one plus all Map Set 2 boards and Moonscape 1 from Map Set 5.
I don't have interest to protect the rights for these images and pieces i have made, so change as you want.

Battletech - Pacific Rim Variant
By: ZootSaxIsMyAxe
|
Battletech_PacificRimVarient_v1.pdf (403 KB)
This is a silly little variant I whipped up after seeing the film and playing around with the Jaeger Designer on the Pacific Rim website. Due to the fact that pretty much all the Jaegers and Kaiju in the film are unique, any variant like this will need to have a lot of house rules to really work well. Still, I thought this could be an interesting starting point. As always, suggestions (and playtesting) are more than welcome.

Battleclix Rules 1.65.pdf (472 KB)
Battleclix is a game of combat in the Battletech universe, using 285th scale miniatures mounted onto Heroclix/MageKnight bases and using a hex map. The game simulates Battletech conflict on a company level, in which players represent company commanders (usually Captains) and control the actions of a Company of Mechs (usually twelve Mechs). The game focuses more on the handling of Lances and Companies, and less on individual Mechs. The Mechs are abstracted in such a way that the relative strengths and weaknesses of various Mech designs in regular Battletech are accurately shown, but allows large-scale combats to be fought in a relatively short time.
The game is designed to simulate Mech Combat primarily in the Fourth Succession War era, but can easily be used to simulate combat in the earlier Succession Wars and the raids in-between, as well as the period just after, such as the Ronin Wars and the ’39 Davion/Kurita conflict. The game also works well for the early Clan invasions, when the disparity of technology level between the Inner Sphere and the Clans was great.

Level 1 (3025 tech) Versions of Clan Mechs
By: ZootSaxIsMyAxe
|
3025 Clan Mech Concepts.pdf (667 KB)
I honestly don't know if anyone else will find this interesting/useful, but the work was done and I figured I'd share just in case. These days when I do have time to play Battletech or MegaMek, we seem to stick to the original 3025 tech. This has left my clan 'mech mineratures largely unused. To correct this, I went through a whole bunch of clan 'mechs and "dumbed them down" to 3025 IS technology. I tried to match the armor and weapons load as exactly as I could, the speed relatively (so a clan 'mech faster than clan 'mechs of its weight class would translate to an 3025 IS 'mech faster than other 3025 IS 'mechs of its weight class) and let the heat sinks fall where they lie. I also didn't make any efforts to optimize weapons loads (swapping two LRM5's for an LRM10, for instance, although I did do this in a few occasions to differentiate variants of a mech, most notably the Puma A & C), to keep them consistent with similar FASA designs. As you would expect, the results were much slower, less deadly and, most especially, hotter on the heat scale (the lighter mechs moreso than the heavier ones for all of these categories). Still, they're not really out of line in terms of matching up with other FASA-designed 3025 era 'mechs, so I was happy with the results.
Anyway, feel free to use these if you find them interesting. If you have any questions, you can message me, but I don't suspect there's enough people out there to merit getting into more detail on a silly little project like this. Enjoy.
