New corrections

I compile and edit this 3.5nd version document without profit intent. For a long time there has been confusion regarding the rules and their editions. The first edition dates from 1984, the second from 1986 and the third from 1998, which only came out in the computer game. I hope this contribution will serve the players of the classic edition, so this document is subject to the contributions and corrections that others wish to make.

Lots of alternatives. I suggest you can choose which you wish to research, plus after 5 tries, you develop it. Some you need to develop others first and then progress.

An easy way to keep track of what year and season it is.
Plus has timeline of WW2 events and when each Country enters or leaves the war. So you can go from Spring 1939 at the start.

In case you want to have a load of Anzac forces.

This is the original 1986, Axis and Allies Weapons Development Chart. I've just simply copied, so prints onto an A4 piece of paper, so you can print and laminate and use as counters or reminders of your weapons development.

Double Blind Scenario Rules

This is a 7-page rules PDF for 'Axis & Allies'. This document covers setup and rules of play, but is not exhaustive or repetitive. It assumes that you have the rule-book for reference. These "Quick Rules" are based on the 1986 Milton Bradley second edition.

Note that while much of the language has been re-written from the original English rule-book, some parts have been taken verbatim. While this simplified rule-set has been compiled by me to bring further clarity to the rules, the copyright of the rules herein remain with the designers and/or publishers.

I use this for recording the various units on the board if I have to put the game away. It could also be used for collaborating with allies away from snooping enemy ears.

Making this guide really helped me learn the rules. Now I keep it on the table as a reference. Hope it helps you, too.

I have adapted the R&D rules from the Anniversary Edition to work with this edition and created a custom set of researcher tokens to use with these rules.

These are graphics for making your own sleeves for the styrofoam trays that come with the game. Since printers often do not print perfectly straight, I have not included any guidelines along which to fold. Instead, I have provided step by step instructions on how to fold and assemble these sleeves.

This document contains a set of alternative air and naval rules (and others) based on the Second Edition Rules for the original Axis and Allies. My motivation in providing them is to increase the sense of realism in the game with respect to naval and air operations, and to allow many important historical events (the various strategic submarine campaigns by both sides, the separate day and night strategic bombing campaigns against Germany and the combined US/UK D-Day assault, for instance) to arise naturally in the game.

Please don't be put off by the length of the document. It contains lots of notes and consideration of edge conditions, but hopefully you will agree with me that the core rule changes are simple and intuitive and give a greater "real-feel" than the original rules.

Finally, an admission: I'm afraid I haven't been able to playtest these changes as my gaming circle don't share my interest in the subject matter or the game. Therefore its entirely possible that these rules may imbalance the game somewhat. If you find this to be the case, please let me know, perhaps suggesting changes to unit costs etc to address these imbalances.

In this variant, players plot each turn's activities in advance. During a turn, a number of rounds are played until all plotted actions have been revealed. Each country may reveal and execute one plotted action per round.
