These are the games that were played at September's meetup. We had planned for GMT's Medieval as the main game, but after a few last minute cancellations we settled for a day of light and fast gaming.

My first, Chris T's second.
I bought this game hoping it was good, and it's great. Ancient theme, card game, simple setup/rules/gameplay. There is some good strategy in this game as well, and if you're a card-counter you may do well. Tactics cards can totally change the game, so they are very important.
Top notch game in my books, and I can see high replayability.

My second, Chris' first.
This game plays really simply. It may not be for the gamer looking for historical accuracy, but it's colourful and easy and pretty fun. There's not much to it, really. Some decisions to make when deploying, and choosing which enemy unit to attack with which of your own.
Highly replayable, I would just suggest cutting down the necessary VP to 20 or so to keep the game shorter.

My second, Chris' first. Scenario #1
This time I took the defending Germans, hoping to stop Chris' Red Horde. I got the upper hand through good positioning and was able to ruin his forces before they could do their job.
Again, I enjoy this game, possibly BECAUSE it is so simple to play. Like Go Fish and Poker compared to ASL. But that's not to say it's easy to win, you've got to use tactics, and of course the luck of the roll will always play a part.
High replayability, especially with 30-something scenarios and over five maps. Factor in you can switch sides for the second go, you've got a lot of playing time for Sergeants!

My second/third, Chris' first/second, Jeff's first/second.
Still enjoy this game, a lot of backstabbing and sneaking around. Ninjas and Dishonour can really make you grumble, but it's all in fun. Until one of your opponents attacks you and kills your daimyo.
Good replayability, especially when it's three or more players. Good challenge when everyone really gets the game and tries to backstab you as much as possible.

My first three-player, Chris' first three-player, Jeff I dunno.
Playing with more than two players really adds a challenge: You get to place less tiles yourself, and you have to watch for other players' strategies. We called this Cutthroat Carcassonne as we tried to block each other from finishing their roads and cities...or was it just me trying that?
Definitely high replayability, the tiles never come up the same. And heck, gotta love the meeples!

I love this game! So simple: few parts, quick setup, quick game. But there is quite the strategy going on, even if you don't throw in the Special cards that throw things way off. You have to get in range where you can strike, but be sure your opponent can't strike you when you can't defend. It's a card counter's dream game!
Replayable? You bet.

Played by Steve and John. Steve's first, for sure.
Looks really good! I just started learning ASL, and this reminds me of it but on a big, desert, armour scale. Very much like a miniatures game, and I'd like to play it either way, for sure. Looking forward to John teaching me sometime soon.
