In The Republic of Rome, your faction of senators can sponsor games for the people Rome, in order to bring down the unrest level (you can just make out the Games Table in this picture of the board). Definitely a good idea, both to prevent revolt, and to show the other players that you're interested in helping Rome and not just hording your money. I mean, that's why you have all those concessions, right? Right?

This doesn't necessarily have to do with feeding you people, per say, but in this game you have to watch how often you raise your taxes. If you go to war and over tax your people, you automatically lose the game because your country has revolted.
