Seeing as how it's almost Halloween I thought this list was appropriate. I was just going over my newly acquired copy of Through the Desert, and I realized that this game could benefit from using candy for pieces instead of the mouthwatering plastic pastel camels that come with the game. What other games could benefit from swapping some of the pieces with candy or other sweets?

I just realized that the candy "smarties" are pretty much the same color as the camels in TtD (light, faded pastels that are hard to distinguish from each other in low light).
I haven't thought of what to use for riders though. Perhaps the concave shape of the smarties would allow for some small round candies to fit in them (ala m&ms)

Need I say more? Clearly the "gold" is meant to be replaced with those beautiful, delicious, glimmering, golden butterscotch candies. honestly, who doesn't call them butterscotchs already.

I can think of a number or candies that could work for this (if you're willing to ditch the traditional black and white). The most obvious would be m&ms or skittles.
Does anyone have any suggestions for traditional black and white?

This feel good game really can cause players to crave candy once the water changes into brightly coloured tulip fields and windmills.

Using candy instead of plastic is less of a chocking hazard. I also enjoy this game because it is easy to win! Much simpler than Arkham Horror.

The game rules suggest placing chocolates at various points on the board (in three dimensions!) and then manuevering around and shooting them as a training exercise. You get to eat each chocolate you fly through or destroy. People often use Hershey's Kisses for this, but I like Treasures better.

When we were kids we'd use Skittles of M&Ms instead of chips or real money. Best part was when my brother would start eating his stash and would wind up having to borrow more from the bag.

In this game you start with two or three lives, and try to assassinate other players (and defend against attacks) with imaginative use of items represented by cards in your hand. We play with candies (Tootsie Rolls, gumdrops, M&M etc.) as counters for those lives. When we kill somebody we make a great show of eating one of the victim's life counters! That life is never coming back!

The players are gingerbread men. When a limb maxes out its damage (i.e., all the damage boxes are filled in on the character sheet) you lose it. In the rules as written you tear the limb off your character sheet.

Using real gingerbread men, you can tear off your opponents' limbs and eat them. Yummy trophy.

The game recommends using actual Gummy Bears as markers (though it does come with winks if you don't have any handy).
