This is a list of games played at the mall tonight. In honor of National Games Week, the mall people set up tables near the food court for gaming. Turnout was somewhat low, but better than nothing, and there were people walking by and checking us out.

Vegas Showdown.
As I arrived, Drew (manager of the Game Daze store in that mall) told me that he'd just finished up a game of Vegas Showdown, and that it was fun. I remember someone at BGG.con being interested in that (Dr Glaze et al?) but I never really got a look at it. Sounds like a good euro-style offering from an american publisher - more evidence in support of the theory that the internet is integrating the world...

Shadows over Camelot.
Against my better judgement, I joined into a game of Shadows over Camelot - because that's what people wanted to play. A couple turns in, Joey (SatanicEssence) showed up, and we let him jump in... but in doing so I unfortunately noticed that there was no Traitor card in the box (someone turned the unknown card face up)... but it was pretty likely there was a traitor to begin with anyway. In the end, the traitor won due to relatively inefficient play all around.

Memoir '44
DURING the game of SoC, Joey decided to start a game of Memoir '44 at the next table as well. I have no idea how that one went, or who won... but it lasted through half the SoC game and the entire Antike game (see next)

Antike.
As promised I brought the mock up of Antike I made, and it worked out well. Tyler, John and I played a 3 player game, and we played to 10 VPs per the discussion threads in the forum... evidently with three people it's easy to get into a boring endgame where people can't get points except by destroying temples, and so everyone just fortifies with everything they've got.

In this game I decided to try something different. I went for Gold right off the bat, and didn't expand much at all. I went for technological advances, and both Tyler and John decided to grow their empire. With onl;y 3 people on the board though, there's plenty of room to expand, but there's still only 4 technological advances. I ended up getting 7 (out of 10) points just from Know-How, and I won with a score of 10-6-6.

Roborally.
While I played Antike, a game of Roborally started up behind me. I used to love that game, but I haven't played it in a long time. Luckily I still have my old copy (original version) so I can play it whenever I want!

Dungeonville.
A card game illustrated by John Kovalik from James Earnest... I haven't seen it, but I suspect it's in the vein of Munchkin - probably more clever mechanics, but probably would leave me unfulfilled.

Paranoia.
I haven't seen this before either, but it appeared to be lighter fare. I prefer heavier board games to light card games, so I was happy to be playing Antike over this.

All For One.
Mr Cranky was in attendance, and he, his friend, Drew, and myself played a few rounds of All For One to check it out. We cut it short because it was late and people were hungry/tired, but they thought it was interesting enough to want to play a few rounds before calling it a night - which is a good sign. It's impossible to tell who was going to win when we cut it short, the scores at that point were 6-4-4-4.
