I decided to start this list because some of the games I have bought came with broken pieces. 'Ahhh hah' some of you are undoubtedly thinking - 'he wants to savage the game companies that caused him to roll on the floor and bite the table.'
But no! This list is a place where people can do what the title suggests: give praise where praise is due.
Teeth marks in the table and head dents in the wall are for other lists! This list is all about the great customer service I (and anyone who wants to add to the list) have recieved.
I'm not a member of a game company, I don't run one yet and am not being paid by them, but I thought it would be rather nice to compliment them for any jobs well done.
The companies mentioned deserve a good word or two given the level of service I recieved!
If you have had an experience with a game company that has made you want to buy more games from them because of their service - mention it here...

Ah yes, all of us Starfarers owners are well aware of the issues with the booster holders, sure it has led to some table-edge scarring, sure my hands took a while to heal after I tried to squeeze blood out of the chair leg (with little success), but Mayfair get on to you very quickly if you drop them an email. They'll also send you out a brilliant set of rings that look good, and do a great job of holding the boosters properly!

A little later on:

A 'second entry' for the same game! Well - there is a reason! I was part of the way into my exciting 'first game' of Starfarers when the realization dawned on me - 'they sure are right on BGG about the regularity of encounters' - it seemed to be happening to me every time I took a turn! With a shrug and a smile I took it in my stride (hard to do when sitting), then the turn after I lost a ship enhancement to an unforgiving wormhole I 'rolled' the ship and lo and behold - the thing that made me bite my own face - two little black balls were nestled in the clear compartment at the base of the ship! My eyes started blinking out of sequence, but calmly I glanced over the rules book to note that my suspicion was correct - instead of having the usual one black ball I had two - thereby increasing my chance of getting an encounter from 25% to 40% - no wonder the throat of the person to my left was getting hoarse!
Without uttering a word I rose and left the room, what I did shall remain a secret, suffice to say that picking splinters of wood from your gums is no pleasant experience!
This story is not solely one of unpleasantness and chewed walls! For the very next day I emailed Mayfair games to relate my tale of woe, to my delight they returned my email about an hour later. They also sent me a free mothership (all the way to Oz!). They were kind and considerate in all my dealings with them and I will certainly buy more Mayfair games because of their service!

I recieved this fun game for Christmas, but was somewhat dissappointed to note that a few of the stones had been broken in transit (or similar). After attempting to push my head through the screen of the computer I emailed Days of Wonder curious to know of any place I might get stones to replace the broken ones. They replied promptly and offered to send me the replacements I needed! Well, you can imagine my joy!
