Essen Spiel 2012 no shipping math trade
-
Welcome to the no shipping math trade for attendees of the Internationale Spieletage 2012 (18.10.2012 - 21.10.2012) in Essen!
If you are new to math trading, I suggest to start with the BGG Wiki entries for Math Trades and OLWLG. For German users there is A short introduction to Math Trades in German.

By adding an item to this list you agree to the following rules, so please read them attentively and completely:
1. Times and dates
1a) The trade list will be open until Wednesday, October 03, 2012, 20:00h CEST.
1b) The want lists have to be submitted via OLWLG until Wednesday, October 10, 2012, 20:00h CEST.
2. Valid offers
2a) First of all, this trade shall be primarily about board games.
2b) Non board game offers are allowed as long as they are legal and do not infringe any rules or regulations.
2c) Game bundles, "sweeteners", and "Pick x out of Y" offers are allowed as long as the item description is unambiguous. In particular, an offer must not depend on third parties in any way.
2d) There is no item limit but remember that you should be able to carry all your traded games (and get them to Essen in the first place).
3. Item descriptions
3a) Each item must contain the following information:
Title:
Publisher:
Language(s):
Condition:
Presence in Essen: (e.g.: Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun)
Also make sure to select the images corresponding to the offered versions of your games.
3b) Each offered item has to be checked for completeness unless it is still in its original shrink wrap.
3c) The condition of each offered item has to be described as accurately as possible.
3d) Comments within the trade list are not regarded part of an item description since they can be added and altered after the trade list has been locked. Make sure that all information regarding your offer is given in the item description before the trade list is closed (see 1a).
3e) If you are not able to deliver an item as it is advertised in the item description after the trade list has been locked, you have to withdraw that item from the trade (i.e. submit an empty want list for it).
4. Editing and deleting items
4a) Be careful about making major changes to an item description. Someone may already have added the item to his/her want lists and not notice that the item description has changed. If you need to make major changes to an item description, it's better to create a new item and submit an empty want list for the original one.
4b) Please do not delete items from the trade list since this will most likely cause confusion and annoyance. If you change your mind about trading a game, just submit an empty want list for the item. You may of course edit the item and say that you are no longer offering the game.
5. OLWLG
5a) Using the OLWLG is mandatory for this trade.
5b) For items that do not have their own BGG entry, generic items like Outside the Scope of BGG or Miscellaneous Game Accessory have to be used. This may also be suitable for game bundles and 'Pick x out of Y' offers.
5c) Please include an altname tag in the item description of generic items like Outside the Scope of BGG or Miscellaneous Game Accessory. Otherwise they will not be properly listed by the OLWLG.
5d) If you offer several games in one item, it is recommended to include them via GeekLink (Insert Geek Link -> Board Game) for OLWLG to recognize them as additional offers. Do not use such a link for a game that is not part of your offer.
5e) OLWLG will not be up to date with the original trade list all the time. The synchronization has to be triggered manually by the math trade organizer from time to time.
6. Want lists
6a) All want lists have to be submitted via OLWLG.
6b) Money or gift certificates must not be traded for offers that contain money or gift certificates themselves. GeekGold must not be traded for offers that contain GeekGold.
6c) Make sure to re-check the descriptions of the items on your want lists after the trade list has been locked. Items that were added before that may have been changed.
6d) All want lists will be made public after the trade has been resolved.
7. Meeting in Essen
7a) All participants are responsible for being able to collect the items they put on their want lists at the Spiel 2012 (i.e. if you are going to be at the fair on Saturday and Sunday, don't wish for items whose owner will only be there on Friday because you will not get your games).
7b) To reduce the number of individual meetings on the fair, we may have one or more group meeting(s) and encourage everyone to do the trading there and then if possible. Time and location of those meetings are still to be determined, please keep an eye on discussion thread for this.
7c) If anything prevents you from getting your items to Spiel 2012 on the days you stated in your item descriptions and thus you are not able to hand them over to their recipient(s), you have to ship your items at your own costs and pay the shipping costs for those items you wish to receive from other participants.
6. Miscellaneous
6a) The trade will be resolved using TradeMaximizer 1.3a with official names and the following options: allow-dummies linear-priorities require-colons require-usernames
6b) The BGG Trade Manager shall be used for the trade transactions.
6c) Items that do not comply with the above rules may be suspended from the trade and will be treated as items with empty want lists. The word of the trade organizer is final in these decisions.
Happy trading!
