This list is for my own benefit. I'm going to Essen next week, so I thought it might do me some good to think about what upcoming non-TMG games interest me for one reason or another, and then list them here so I don't forget. I may add to this as games come to my attention, and I will probably use this list as a basis for what I'd like to play at Essen next week and BGG.con next month.

I have not had the opportunity to play this in it's prototype form as I know some have, but the description sounds like it's just the type of game I would like. I look forward to getting a chance to play this.

I watched the Kickstarter project for this one, and while the game looks like I'd like it very much, I didn't feel like there was any real incentive to back on Kickstarter rather than just wait until I could play the game.

I do look forward to playing it, and I hope I like the game as much as I think I will.

I love the idea of city building board games along the lines of Sim City, but I've yet to see one that I think is really great. I played a prototype of Suburbia at GenCon this year, and I think Ted Alspach may have figured out the secret to this genre! I look forward to playing this again to see if it's as good as I feel like it might be.

I have always liked the idea of the "civ game," and this designer's last game (Merchants and Marauders) had a lot in common to my own ideas for a game about pirates. Despite the fact that I had some specific key problems with M&M, I believe this civ game is at least worth a look. The little I read about it sounded interesting.

I don't know a lot about this game, but what I read (a year ago? more?) made me think I might like it. I even contacted the designer to see if he'd be interested in submitting it to TMG, but he had a European publisher in mind. I figure now that it's coming out I might as well see what it's like.

Interest level on this one is lower than some of the games on this list, but at least it made the cut.

I don't really know anything about this one, and I'm not sure it belongs on this list. I passed on the Kickstarter project for it, but something I read recently (not even sure what it was!) caught my interest. If convenient, I'll check this out. If not, no big deal as far as I'm concerned.

I saw this one on some Essen list, and skimmed the description and Jesse Dean's review. It looks like it could be interesting, I'll add it to the list and look to give it a try sometime.

I like deck building in general, but a lot of the "deckbuilders" out there just aren't that interesting to me. It's like a mechanism without a game around it.

I am hoping that Briefcase is a game that uses the deck building mechanism well. I'm sure it's no Eminent Domain, but it might be something I'd like

I played Tokaido at Strategicon a couple months ago and I liked it. I really like games with that turn order mechanism, such as Glen More and Olympos. Thebes uses that mechaism, but there are other parts of the game I don't like. The earliest game I know of that uses it is Neuland, though I think I only played that once a long time ago.

I read about Copycat back in April. It sounds like something I would enjoy- I hope I get a chance to play it this week in Dallas.
