I started a lunchtime "board" meeting group at my place of employment. I was apprehensive at first not knowing how the company would react to the events. I started by asking HR is it would be acceptable to reserve a conference room for the lunch time gaming events. To my surprise they encouraged it. Saying it would help with morale and team building skills. As long as we clean up after ourselves HR had no problems letting me use the conference room, as long as nothing was scheduled.

I set up the gaming time for every Friday from 12:00 - 1:00. I only sent it to a select few and extended the invitation to whom every the select few would like to invite.

Got some good turn outs and here is the list of games played so far.
It is hard to find games that are easily explainable and can be played in an hour. Some games were started and not finished but a good time was had by all. Some people in the group are new to board-gaming and I am introducing games they have never heard of before. I believe this is great for our community and many in the group are asking me "where did you get that game? I want to own it and play it at home."

Side note: I am supplying all the games.

Any suggestions are welcome.goldencamel

First game:
This was easy to explain but understanding the rules was another thing.
One of the players went backwards from the starting line. Although he received the treasure chest he could never get past port royal. I could see the frustration.

Second Game:
Due to conflicts in schedule this was the second game played. Only one other person showed up but we agreed ahead of time this is what we would play. This was the first time either of us played the game so we used the easy rules.
Unfortunately the empire won.

A second game was played with the advanced rules but wee never got to finish it. We both had 100pt squads.

Third game:
This was a huge hit and you could hear the laughter all the way to HR. I am asked all the time "what were you guys playing that day?" This will be played again but I will bring in the expansions.

Two races were played, three laps each.

SANDRA WON the last race

Fourth Game:
Very easy to explain. We had a four player game and one was a new person in the group. The game give such a good impression two of the players are going to buy the game.
