organized the first meeting of the La Crosse Board Game Group. Seven people showed up that night. We have met most weeks since, and have added a game day most months. We have had as few as two and have gone into the 20s on a few times.

Rick has moved to Utah, but was able to Skype in for a bit.

The very first game played 5 years ago was "No Thanks!, so it seemed appropriate to play this tonight. I bought the game thinking of that very fact (plus it helped me get into free shipping), Travis (current group organizer), Amy, Derek, and Mandi (even though she hates bidding) joined in.

Travis was distracted by group trivia and somehow shutting off the Skype computer to notice, but I had 22,23, and 25 and he let the 24 card pass to me.

Low score is better

Derek traded for this game recently, and this was his first play. He taught the rest of us. It started making sense eventually (we didn't get to the culling rule right away).

Derek DID manage to summon his dragon, and did kill some of Mark's monsters (just not enough). The first time he got the drgon die he rolled the 1 quiddity side:

Mark 12
Brian 10
Amy 8
Derek 0

I know Nate punched the new map tokens, but do not know which map was played. First play for Lee and Brian N. Lots of talk about frisky rats (rats do have a high birth rate but nothing compared to fleas, and fleas are way behind Y. pestis)

Mark left, and some folks went to the second game of Quarriors. The rest of us eventually decided on TransAmerica.

Mandi kept noting she usually does bad at this. I think she was just hustling us.

I'm not shocked that Nate won this (he almost always wins). I am a bit surprised by Derek's score. (He summoned a creature on his last roll)
