This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Aww yeah, pride of place. First significant find in a while, $3.90 at Village Discount Outlet on Roscoe last Saturday. Second edition, complete with easels, basically perfect condition bar the sharpied on price.
There's an abstract store in town (Marbles: The Brain Store) which has made pretty significant inroads among the general public as a boutique gift outlet- hence the large numbers of newish Gigamic games I've seen on thrift shelves. They carried this for a little while last year, if I remember correctly, which explains the unusual find.
Snow day today. School's closed (daughter is home) and I have to shovel out from under 14". Glad this didn't happen last week when I had some nasty flu-like bug. Funny...last year we had 22" of snow for the entire season. Back to Twixt...found over the weekend and saved because it was in great shape. Complete. Red box.
My FIRST Heroscape! I saw the box lying on the floor behind the counter and got so excited. The box looked good with some shelf wear. I kindly asked for the price -- $5.90 -- and thought sure why not. It felt heavy and I peeked inside and it appeared full (even some terrain in plastic as well as the dice so I thought score!).
Went home and inventoried -- Everything there EXCEPT the MINIS! NOOOOO! I was so bummed. Looks like I'm on a quest to find the 30 minis I need to play this game (guess I could get, hopefully find, other sets). Side note: box was neatly packed as is, I'm surprised 30 minis could even fit inside. For all you wondering -- non-sparkly water.
Box in fantastic shape with slight shelf wear Inside appears unplayed as 7 of the 8 figures/heads were still on the sprues and the playbooks had no ripped pages. Looks like a solid newish-oldie game for a lovely price.
