Congratulations on your successful kickstarter campaign.
Personally, I love this game, I love the bidding mechanic, the dual
purpose of the cards, the artwork... in a word, the whole package is
Constructive criticism: could have done with a few more resource cards -
just my opinion.
Thank you for making the PnP version available: here in Australia the
high retail cost & international shipping fees make boardgaming a
potentially expensive hobby. I found that out during my Heroscape
There's a few dedicated print and players who are disappointed they
missed out on the PnP eight minute empire offer you made through
Page 3 no. 68, you can see their comments.
Rather than just send them the files (none have asked me to send them, by
the way, nor would I send them if they did), I was wondering if you'd
accept something like $5 each via PayPal, then send them the files, or I
could forward on your behalf if that's too hard.
They haven't asked me to do this, so no guarantee they'd actually go for
this offer: I just feel bad having something no one else has, and they
have no way of getting it... kinda the opposite of what I'm supposed to
feel in this capitalist society I suppose.
P.S. I've played this with approx ten people, and around ten more
watched... everyone loved it. Some did make un of the fact these learning
games went for more than eight minutes... lol. You must get that a lot.
I've told them all: retail version will be available in 2013!!!
Long story short: go for it! It is still available as a PNP!
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying the game. I really
appreciate your comments.
Thanks for letting me know about the people that might be interested in
the PnP version. I think that what you suggest sounds good, and is fair
to the other Kickstarter backers. If anyone wants the PnP files, they can
send $5 to my Paypal account using my email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Just
list in the description what it is for and an email address, and I will
send a link to download the files.
It's true, the learning game usually does take longer than eight minutes.
Someone will say, "Hey, this is longer than eight minutes!" I always shrug
and say, "Well, we play it in eight minutes at my house."
