Condition is Acceptable. Lots of wear and tear on the box but no split corners. Can definitely tell that the game is heavily used and old. All contents are present though and I have bagged the cards and ships.
Found this at the Goodwill. Thought someone might enjoy it?
Preferably would like to ship within the United States or Canada but would ship internationally if you're patient with me....
Cards are well used (edges are browning and worn), a couple cards have light creases and some surface grime. None are bent or folded. For condition... think old poker deck. I counted the cards twice and came up with one extra card both times, so I'm sure it's complete.
Box is in good shape and can probably be sent in a padded envelope. Stats on the BGG game page for this version: 8.70 x 6.30 x 1.30 inches 0.75 pounds.
I already own the game and want to pass this one along. I paid $1. For first person who wants to pay for shipping rounded up to the nearest $1 will get it. Even if you want me to chuck the box and just send the well loved cards and folded instructions.
Condition: Complete and in excellent condition. Safe has been tested and works perfectly.
I have a copy of this that we play (kids love it) and 2 extra copies that I picked up because they were in excellent condition with working safes. I need to make some room, so the 2 extra copies are up for grabs. I just ask for the shipping cost.
EDIT: 1 copy given away. 1 copy left.
CLAIMED Both copies going out in the mail on Monday.
Condition: Complete and in excellent condition. Played a few times. Don't like this expansion. Free to any interested player if you pay shipping. If you don't want the box, I'll put the tiles and count in an envelope and ship it cheap and my expense.
Okay, I didn't thrift this. I bought it brand-new.
I took it home, shuffled it into my Chrononauts deck, dealt a game. Played the game. Huh. That's funny. Nan keeps doing things that are useful to me. In fact, she's doing exactly the things I would do if I had the cards for it. I'm certainly not going to argue with that.
Oh, awesome. She just did the last thing I need to win. All I need to do is wait for my turn... what does she mean she just won?
Oh, crap. We both have the same secret identity.
I guess I already owned this expansion. What are the odds that two people in a three player game would get the same identity on the first game?
I don't expect there to be a lot of demand for this. As an expansion, it's useless without Chrononauts. But if you have Chrononauts and you don't have this expansion, well, here's your chance. I'll even cover shipping within the US, or the first five bucks of shipping to Forn Parts.
In case there is a lot of demand, I'll choose randomly from everyone who has replied with a desire to own this expansion by Friday March 1 at noon Eastern Standard Time. If there are no such replies before then, first person to ask for it gets it.
Just think - I could have listed this on the G4GG raffle and gotten maybe a or two.
I have several (4) new in plastic copies of the QUICK PLAY edition of The Duke. It's kind of like a print and play edition except that it's already been printed onto 3 letter-sized sheets of paper. You just need to print off the rules from online and cut out the pieces in this quick play kit. The game board printout is included. Everything is in English and is black and white. Just let me know how many of these you want, where to send it to and cover the shipping cost and I will have it one the way to you!
NOTE: This is NOT the final production version of the game. This is the QUICK PLAY edition only.
UPDATE: I have 1 of these left. It will be about $2.25 (payable via Amazon GC) to ship via USPS First Class in a large envelope.
Found another copy of this at DI, and I don't really need it. I figured I'd offer it here before scavenging it for parts on the Parts Wanted list. It is complete except for missing one character card, which has been replaced with the Skeleton card to bring it to 4 character cards. Yours for the price of shipping
Sorry for being so slow, I shipped this out this last saturday and should be getting there pretty soon. I'll keep an eye out for another copy and post should I find one
3M Bookshelf Edition from 1974, complete and in good condition. Probably hardly played at all, map is still intact with no tears. The box shows some very slight wear but not much at all. Price sticker game off clean with no damage.
I bought the game for $2.99 at GW today, was so excited to find a Bookshelf game, my first!
People here have been so nice to me so I'd like to pay it forward.
Avalon Hill 12th printing? Not sure how to tell edition, but the instruction booklet lists Copyright 1962 Game I, 1972 Game II, so I'm guessing this is the right edition. Has all the cards, board, 10yrd marker, missing the football, die (six-sided, normal?), and the ever-elusive football widow's handbook. I've replaced the football with a penny, the die with a red 6-sided normal die, and I've got nothing for the widow's handbook. Yours for the price of shipping. Any interest?
Edit: Box condition is okay, has creases in the corners and some peeling on the edges, but the box is still very structurally sound.
Also known as Go Stop, which is actually the rule set that I learned and use, I think this is a great little game for traveling as the cards are hard plastic and the whole thing is the size of a deck of playing cards.
I never seem to find any used games around here in Japan but occasionally I find good deals on small Shogi sets or cheap little Go sets. Their quality is always a little too poor to offer up even for just the price of shipping so I usually take a pass but when I found some cheap Hanafuda cards the other day I grabbed up both sets and as no one ever asks for them on Thrifting for You (2013) I thought I'd put them up here.
1) 1976, Parker Bro.s, English, This was the only production run for this game.
2) It smells a touch like an old Salvation Army, it's missing a few pawns and cover has been scribbled on a bit (a 4 year old tried giving the Fonz a line of a mustache perhaps. Other than that, it appears playable.
3) I saw it at a local Salvation Army for cheap and thought... somebody wants this.
4) I will chose a recipient by whomever wants this. First person to claim it gets it.
Recipient must pay full shipping (pay pal preferred) in whatever fashion they want it shipped.
edit: If you need inspiration, here are the cast of "friends" playing "Strip Happy Days game". This could be you.
I admit it, I killed her, I killed Yvette. I hated her so much
Flames...flames on the side of my face...breathing...breathle...heaving breathes
Missing the dice, but otherwise complete, and in pretty good shape. Some of the money was misprint. Box has a little damage, I think 1 blown corner.
Bought it at Goodwill because it looked quirky and awesome. But now as my collection is getting bigger I need to make some shelf room and I just don't see this one getting much play time over the years.
I think this might be a Chinese "knock-off" version. The cards look like those in the original "Korsar" game, but the box is small and square rather than long and skinny like the "real" original version of Korsar. The text on the box in in German, but it came with Chinese and German rules. I tossed those rules sheets and printed out the English rules from BGG. The cards are in perfect condition, but the box has some scratches and nicks. Pictures can be provided upon request.
Hobby game designer, please print and play my games!
I've got a deluxe Pente (plays 4 players) but it's missing the gems (of the basic craft store variety) and one of the caps to the tube. The mouse-pad map has a couple small spots on it (might clean off, never tried)
