Gonna get me a fancy drink at the hotel bar. There IS a hotel bar, right? Right?
I failed to balance Bob this year--that is, to have Bob Wilson buy more from me than I am buying from him. But it's all good.
I am buying a lot this year for 2 reasons:
1. I thought I would be outbid on a lot of stuff and I was outbid only a few times (Mamma Mia, Crows, and Water Lily, plus I did not grab the skullcrotch).
2. I am "teaching" a board game class to 4th & 5th graders at an afterschool program at my son's school in the fall. By "teaching" I mean "bringing a bunch of games and putting them on the table every week." Plus for those interested, cardboard and markers to make their own board or card game!
My favorite scores from the auction this year were this Sarlacc's Pit game, Lost Temple, GIPF, Zertz, Dvonn, Farmageddon, Metropolys, and both Samurai ("Richard Burton") and Samurai the Card Game ("Richard Burton the Card Game.")
Well, it's no Ginkgopolis...

Where do I even begin...
FIRST AND FOREMOST, there's still some auctioning going on:
See, there's this secondary list ---
It's a mop-up auction that ends Friday night, between 10 and 11PM.
Now, back to the main auction discussion...
Carol, Liz Taylor as we like to call her around here, did manage to buy more from me this year!
I tried to not combine items within a single posting as much as possible this year, perhaps in the hopes of seeing the numbers break 1000... well, it made it to item number 1280 before it closed. The mop-up auction is currently at 128, and that's not counting a very crazy thing I did...
I created one entry in the mop-up auction GeekList with 50 games for a starting bid of $1 for the entire lot. I guess this is to make up for not combining items in the earlier auction, and just to see what would happen.
Last year I bought roughly 1/2 as many games as sold, and spent 1/2 as much as I took in... this year, I'm coming-out pretty close to even in terms of $'s, but I definitely selling far more game titles than I am buying.
I'm pretty excited about a lot of them, the freshest in memory because it just occurred today is that I won that really got me going is Chaostle.
