OK, it's not really a game PLAYED, but rather a game IN play.

I'm the AUC in this game, Cates is the FARC...

Out of the 4 actions I could perform this turn..

I pass....

My brother came over and we played. This has some nostalgia for us. We used to play the original, but we trade/sold off our cards years ago, then regretted it. So we were overjoyed by the new release.

The first game I was the runner. I made a couple of runs and took a tag at the end of my turn. Then, blam, hit with four net damage and only three cards in hand. GAME OVER.

The second game we switched sides. It was a much better game. My brother had lots of money which is odd for a runner. Thankfully the corp, me, had enough money as well. I had some weak ICE to give tags and burn money. Basically I would have to store up money to drop an agenda and score it as soon as possible, which let me rez a nice piece of ICE Named: Archer. (Trash program, Trash program, and end run strength 5,I think) for free.

I was able to grind the law-breakers to dust.

I don't have any football gamessoblue. So I broke out Long Shot as our lead up to the SuperBowl. Lucky number 9 finished first: He broke out to big lead and never gave it up despite being moved back two space. I think he move 3 spaces 3 or 4 times. Follow #10 and then not to be out done Slow Jenn #4. My wife own #9 and #4 (Slow Jenn $50 +$50 for third) for $200 to start before bets were paid out. Claudette won handily.

Note: The two gamers came in last and second to last.

My wife and I are playing through this. We flew through the first two chapters, I was beginning to think that the games was just going to be a piece of cake and not any challenge. That was until chapter three....

We cleared the first board no problem. Then we flipped the board and were shredded by Rat Archers and were pounced to death by Brodie the Cat. The game rolled more cheese than a Joss Whedon movie.

CB's request that I've been trying to get to the table for about three weeks - This was a do or never do night and we were able to set up a four player game

I having the most experience took every advantage I could - I was able to secure Host 3 times and with my power I kept inviting CB to the arena - CB’s gladiator was torn up by a thirteen year old Dominus, one of the youngest Dominus in Roman history. Not being very happy the host put the Gladiator to death - Towards the end I saw an opportunity CB had purchased The Thing in the Pit an awesome brute and knowing he would feel confident in pitting him against anyone’s gladiator as the host I called CB to the games. As predicted stepping into the arena "The Thing in the Pit" I then called myself knowing if I win I’ll win the game.
As soon as everyone placed their bets I played the reaction card that allowed me to replace The Thing in the Pit with a much weaker gladiator.
Our first exchange of blows showed the resilience of my gladiator as I struck back causing four wounds. It was just a second round that would show fatal to the poor wounded gladiator as he fell to his knees, his head rolling across the area, cheers blasting with approval.

Tony - Champion

Brian Zerg Queen of Blades
Jed Terran Jim Raynor
Mark Terran Arcturus Mensk

CB jumped out to the early lead with a nice 2 point starting planet and a nicely protected alley on one side of the board. (Really strange setup occured where 4 planets were accessible by only two sides). CB had a clear starting advantage and I race to get to the protected planets. Mark and I made a truce on one end. Jed fought CB, Mark fought Brian, and I turtled. I teched up to Archons and went after CB. Jed took down CB's home world and Brian and Mark slaughtered each other with all manner of beasts and weaponry including NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED.

We all thought the 2nd "End is near" card would come out but it didn't allowing me one more turn. No one could attack my bases directly because of my defenses and I had a card that allowed me to buy a point at the beginning of the regrouping phase. I got 5 points in the last round to bring me to 15 points.

CB 14

I am victimized by Tony's onslaught of Indians, (he must personally know Sitting Bull) and 1/2 my town is BURNING!!! Why the Hell would Lincoln visit my town if it's on FIRE!! shake

The first thing he burned was my gallows!! How am I going to keep the peace if I can't kill off anyone using Due Process? Tony is Chaos Incarnate!! devil

He crushes me yet again in his own Game...(I had less AP this game than the first I believe) Game is FAR to random for my tastes.... you know the one die that you roll every 3rd turn...Just too much...

This was a close one I had Nick tied up in webs for several turn and when he was able to get out he took out his revenge on me.
I think Nicks mistake was trying to kill me with spider bites when he should have just kept me tied up in the webs

I was able to break out and make it to my base with the win

I don't want to give too much, if you haven't played this mission.

We were flying thr the game and on our way to victory and the game ended in a surprise.

Robin ended up getting hit over the hear with the Crow Bar that he gave to the Writer.
He survived the blow and both Thomas and Robin won, while Tony and Bernie hung the heads in de-feet

Another game I don't want to give too much away as it could spoil someone elses play later on.

Bernie, Nick and Tony
We were asked by the town to check out the castle as a cloud was forming above the town and it was originating from the castle.
This was out first big bad dude that we had to fight and we couldn't fight him because he was a scared little puppy.

I was able to advance to 2nd level by rolling a natural 20 and I also had 5 experience points.
The round before we won I was taken down to zero life points, we had 3 surges so no threat of losing.

We won, Castle Ravenloft lost

Crystal and I had tried a 2 player game of this, it was ok, 5 player was a lot more interesting. If I'm remembering right Paul won this one by being the first to invite fire.

For a $10 daily deal game I like it.

Next up was a 6 player game of Samurai Sword. Well 1.5 games of Samurai Sword, I flubbed up the first time around and put in an extra Samurai when, with 6 players, it should have been 3 Ninjas.

After fixing that we started again...

Crystal won as the Ronin, it was pretty close but she had about 2 points more then the Shogun/Samurai team.

Cody and I played several games of Star Wars the Card Game. First we played the straight up Sith vs. Rebel Alliance starter decks. I taught him the game and then beat him quickly by attacking the Death Star with a Wookie Navigator to attack twice.

Then we cracked open a second set and we built new decks. Mine was built around Rebel Assualt getting two of every pod that has that card in the game. He built out a Sith Deck around Vader and Palpatine.

I was able to get out a lot of ships quickly and take down 3 objectives with two "Mobilize the Squadron" cards.

The final game we did a little tweaking to the decks we had and the game was super close. I had taken down two objectives and then he got out Vader and a whole host of advisers locking down the board for awhile and slowly ticking the death star dial each turn. I took a swing but couldn't win the edge battle, then he dropped the Devastator on the table and took out my third objective for the win. Looking at my next hand I would have had an easy time getting the final objective.

Cody and I played this at the end of the night. I ran a combat deck and he ran the questers. I got a troll attacking me second turn surprise I was able to hold him off one turn giving Gimli 4 damage, 1 away from death. Next turn I let an eagle take the damage from the Troll. Gimli gets strong er with more damage so he put 6 damage on the Troll, then Legolas fell to the Troll and Gimli finished him off. The rest of the game I limped along without Legolas while Cody was able to get his resource engine going and get out several allies and attachments.

When we got a special Giant ally on our side I said, okay let's take it to the Trolls and we entered the final phase of the quest. All four Trolls attacked me and wiped me out in one turn due to my threat dial going above 50. I was able to take one down with me. The trolls went back to the staging area and Cody managed to pick off the remaining three 1 by 1 with a very good deck that that was producing plenty of resources with the "Resourcefulness" attachment.

I played two games of Innovation: Echoes of the past against my nephew Steven. The first game was a bizarre underdog landslide. Fitting, as I read 1 Samuel this weekend (David & Goliath). Instead of a slingshot, however, I used Fermentation and an Umbrella!

Fermentation: an age 2 yellow that lets you draw a [2] for every 2 leaves
Umbrella: an age 1 (I think) Blue Card: Return any number of cards from your hand. Score two cards from your hand for every card you returned.

Both cards have 2 leaves each, so I came up with this combo: Turn A: Ferment twice: draw 4 twos. Turn B: Ferment again, (by this time the twos were gone, so I drew a pair of threes. ) Then Umbrella: return 2 twos to score 4 cards: (2,2,3,3) Turn C: claim the 1 & 2 achievements. I kept repeating this process, burning through the decks. Steven was melding and splaying and going to town with light bulbs and crowns, but he wasn’t finding any way to mess with my little 1 / 2 combo, and he wasn’t managing to keep up with me on the score pile. I claimed up through 5 without trouble, but got a little bogged down, and I had to work a bit to get a 6 melded, and getting the 7 was a race. Once I finally landed the 7 on the table with my final action, he stared at his cards for quite a while and never saw what I feared. He wound up trying some splay for no particular reason, allowing me on my turn to claim achievement 7 with a lone 7 on my board and exactly 35 points in my score pile. What he didn’t realize was that I had no points to spare, and his Indian Clubs could have made me discard 2 cards from my score pile. But it would have only delayed things. He finished with 5 piles, 4 splayed left and 1 right, about 20 cards showing and a couple level 7 top cards, but with 0 achievements. My board had exactly 5 cards showing, two 1s, a 2, a 4 and a 7. I had 35 in score pile, and achievements 1-7.

Beer triumphs, with an umbrella!

After that came a 5 player game of Cavemen. About halfway through the game I had a bunch of food but couldn't get any teeth to get the conch shell so I could be first player. Most of the game I ended up either getting last choice or next to last. My clan was a pretty good size and we could kill things but we were dumber then rocks.

Crystal won this one with a 4 person clan of smarties. Now that she has this fire thing going I think my people are going to have to go steal her caves...

Last up was a 6 player game of brokenness with Cosmic Encounter. We usually play with the red races, because that seems to be where the most craziness happens, and use the hidden powers variant also, so no one knows who anyone is until they reveal themselves.

Paul got off to an early lead with 4 colonies, which only meant that everyone stomped him back into dust. After a few rounds of that Steve and I were able to sneak up to 4 planets as well and took a shared victory taking over a 5th planet together to end the game.

Hello Friends! I still haven't managed to start a game group out here in SD, but I've got several friends that are interested, once I get some free time. But I had to share my big score (solitaire).

I've been really fixated on Le Havre lately, and I finally decided to give Loans a fair shake. I quickly realized how much effort can be saved by building now, paying later. My first try I only beat my previous best score by 2 (264-->266) But I saw how I overdid it, and then proceeded to find a balance, adding 30 points consistently scoring 298, 299 & 299. Then I hit the perfect storm when the Dept of Economics showed up.

I only took 5 loans, built almost every building, 2 iron & 2 steel ships, and shipped 19 steel, 8 coke, 1 leather for a total of 411. When I first started playing this game I heard people talking about 400pt games, and I thought they were lying.

Fun! (But now I'm afraid to unleash my new skills on my nephew who just learned the game.)

Michael;
