Hi, I'm John and I'm a boardgame-aholic.

Like many others, it seems I can never be satisfied with my collection. I have highly rated games sitting on my shelf unplayed (I'm looking at you Railways of the World). Worse, I have games that I enjoy but I keep reading reviews and thinking another game may be just a tad better.

So help me decide, if I already have game X should I purchase game Y or would I be better off staying with what I have?

Perhaps my most anticipated release of 2013. This games looks fantastic! 2 player miniature tactical combat with guns and space marines vs. the critters. Oh yeah!

Of course, I already own Space Hulk (third edition). But it seems like Sedition Wars might be a faster play and more flexible tactically (large areas and greater unit diversity vs. narrow corridors and sameness of units.)

Do I pre-order this baby?

I'm a huge fan of co-ops and love the survival theme so I'm drooling over the upcoming Z-Man release of this. I'm also a Minecraft fan and the build shelter, explore, forage for food aspect of this sounds intriguing.

But I already own and greatly enjoy Space Alert and Defenders of the Realm which fill the niche of a mid weight co-op. Still, stranded on a desert island.

A co-op dungeon crawl with lots of theme. Sounds great but I already have Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition). Should M&M fire Descent?

My primary complaint with Descent is that it doesn't feel very tactical in places. Allowing movement on a diagonal between enemies and the many race missions destroy the block and flank tactics I'm accustomed to using in a game like this. Also, would M&M be more accessible to new/casual gamers?

I already own Pandemic as my gateway co-op but I find the theme of Flash Point far more appealing. As a matter of fact, I haven't played Pandemic since I got Space Alert and Defenders of the Realm but I really need a lighter co-op for the new/casual gamers.

Should I buy this and relegate Pandemic to the trade bin?

One genre underrepresented in my collection is good ol' multiplayer strategic combat that would appeal to the Risk crowd.

I have Battle Beyond Space still sitting unplayed on the shelf along with the venerable Wizard's Quest. But for some reason Nexus Ops calls to me. Should I resist the siren call or add it to my next CSI order?
