Time to plot new autumn tactics for games The official Games for Geekgold March 2013.
In New Zealand you can feel it in the air... summer's left the building. It's darker, colder, crisper: it's Autumn. Time for Vespas on the beach!!!
Truth be told I've waited to post this video- resisting every month till now.
news: ***Scraimer, in his spare time has reinvented Sol's tracking tool! You can see how much you bid on what items and what your odds are! You will be amazed!!! THIS IS BETA!!! FEEDBACK WELCOME! http://g4gg.shalom.craimer.org/ Do give him geekgold though! * The Scraimer tool is still compulsory for all draws: any issues talk to the Adminions. * There will continue to be checks of some draws by admin Octavian to double-check we're all above board. Last month no irregularities were found. * I'll be geekmailing everyone who lists items to check they understand the draw issues. * There will be a discussion here: [thread=449172][/thread on the rules and some issues raised about g4gg, look out for this around the 14 th of the month.
The Scraimer tool is traceable and can be audited.
Rules 1 Let’s make 2013 the year of the good chap– If we put an item up we draw it, if we draw it we send it to the winners. The good chap' code: - We're all good chaps, so behave - We're friendly, honest and err on the side of being good to each other - If we make mistakes we own up, apologise and make good as far as possible - We treat others as we'd want to be treated - We're here to play boardgames and have spiffing fun and this lottery is just another way of extending this fun by getting more excellent games to fabulous people
Entering Anyone with a BGG account can participate but new users can’t list items. Note: NEW USERS CAN BID ON ITEMS!!! If you see an item on this geeklist you're interested in owning, tip that entry and you are entered. Note the postage/shipping details.
Please don’t hassle people who list items if they aren’t including free postage or won’t post it to where you are. You can query items but don’t hassle people – be a good chap.
Listing items + Post it as an item on this list (but not if you’re a new user- new users need to clear any items they list with the adminion team -see below). + Include a full description of the thing or edition that you have and its condition. + Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, or if you’re willing to contribute to shipping. + Scaimer’s tool allows a number of bonuses (eg: 5gg=6 entries 25gg=32 entries) instructions are here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6240410/GamesForGeekGoldDrawingsHel... + Specify when your item will close for entries (this must be by 31 March). You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as secondary winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for a games related store (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled). A Paypal payment in lieu of an online store permitted if the winner cannot easily obtain the game for an online store. + Always link the entry to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
+ Miscellaneous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate. + Don't update more than once a day! Preferably not more than once a week. + If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, declare it! + In case anything happens to your item it is wise to hold onto most of your geekgold from items in case refunds are needed. + Mutual tipping of items can look unfair, as can giving geekgold to others to bid on your items... be a good chap, we are watching. + Please try not to add substantial new items to a lottery item after a few days of listing without checking with me first. Some people invest much or all of their limited if they perceive they have a reasonable chance of winning. Dilution, while good for you, may be unfair for bidders. IF you edit the item during the month- do so sparingly, AND make it very clear what you changed. Every time you edit it alerts everyone and if you do it frequently I get geekmails.
Drawing If you put up an item you will make the drawing (we're here to help though)
If you have two prizes you’ll need to do the draw several times removing earlier winners if they are rolled again. You will need to specify if the same person can’t win more than once. ! By the last day of the month OR the day you nominated you are expected to draw the item. They must be drawn within 5 days of the end of the month or it is expected that you will return all geekgold.
How to draw.... Scraimer’s tool - follow this link https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6240410/GamesForGeekGoldDrawingsHel... Load it to your tool bar. You’re ready. Check the bonuses match in item it defaults to 5 = 6 entries and 25=30. You can DEL these or change them. It’s worth doing a quick check the numbers match the entry. Amend the item to say it’s closed. Click draw. That’s it.
Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game. Send them the game.
If you can't draw the entry I will do it for you - ask and give us a few days’ notice. Do not delete the item!
Please note: If a drawing error is noticed for whatever reason, an adminion, (Richard or I) will declare the draw with the error null and void, and the item must be redrawn.
the tool man who can answer questions on the drawing tool, should this be necessaery.

People who have previously won and/or received these dice are excluded from winning this thumb drawing. No tip is required, but if you have tipped this listing, thumbing the entry will give you an additional chance to win. This thumb drawing will be performed last after the tipped drawings have been performed. This thumb drawing has been added only after consulting with Samnzed and G4GG participants in the comments. edit3: 400g bonus level reached, added language to bonuses clarifying that bonus winners are being drawn from tips, and added "or" to thumb drawing exclusion language so it matches the intent of my original comment below. This lottery will now have four winners (three from tips, one from thumbs).
NOW CLOSED!! The drawing has been done and the winner is indicated below in the comments for this geeklist item. Thanks for playing everybody!

This is a brand new game by OKAZU Brand, which came out a few months ago. I bought this at the Tokyo Game Market in Nov 2012. They came out with 2 new games at the Market, but I was saving up for my wedding so I was only able to get 1 spare copy for the G4GG's. This husband and wife team are really sweet and very awesome so I wanted to support them, and share their game with others around the globe.
Shipping: As always, shipping on this item will be free worldwide Drawing Date: March 31st, 2013 **************************************** Bonus once it reaches these bonuses, the following will be unlocked If this reaches 500 I'll upgrade this to a small box and pack it with yummy treats If this reaches 700
I'll include 10 of these cute snow globe-like containers I found a couple of days ago. They're made from a soft plastic, but they're fantastic for storing gems, and cubes e.g. for Pixel Tactics/Seven Sisters/Lords of Waterdeep etc. Cuts down the setup time heaps I had plastic bowls before, but they were opaque and you couldn't see what was in each bowl. I love these
This auction is winner's choice. The lucky winner of this auction will get to choose between a set of 300 miniature, clay poker chips or two decks of fancy, smancy playing cards.
The chips and cards are all pretty nice. They are all duplicates that I purchased just to give away here. I'm keeping a set for myself
The poker chip count is 80 White, 80 Red, 80 Blue, 40 Green, and 20 Black. As you can see from the photo, they are a little wider than a US quarter. They are about 25.5 mm in diameter while regular poker chips are 39 mm. Each chip weighs 7 grams and they come in an aluminum travel case. And there's a deck of cards too, though they are the quality you would expect with a set of chips. The set I'll ship will still be in shrink wrap.
At 500 I'll draw for a second place winner who will get to choose from the items not chosen by the winner.
At 1,000 I'll draw for a third place winner!
Oops, been sleeping - 2nd and 3rd place winners have been unlocked! (edit 3/27)
Shipping for the cards will be free worldwide.
Shipping for the poker chips will be free in the US and I'll cover the first $10 of international shipping since the set of chips weighs about 8 pounds. But don't despair international friends! For every 25 bid over 500, I'll cover another $1 of shipping.
