Games Played at Bay Area Games Day CIII 2013-04-06

We met. Full room all day, overflowing into the closet for part of the afternoon. Never like to overflow but it is a strong sign of healthy attendance and interest in the group.Recommend
I played Here I Stand basically all day. Very engrossing 6-player wargame with heavy negotiation themed on the period of the early Protestant Reformation. Very theme rich, with political, military, and religious conflicts intertwined at every level.
Lots of other good gaming, of course. First appearance of Clash of Cultures, a game I had expected to make a bigger splash after its release in Essen 2012. I think it still will.
Bay Area Games Day is the largest and longest-running regular event for open gaming the San Francisco Bay Area. We meet every 4-8 weeks at the Los Altos Public Library, 13 S. San Antonio Rd., Los Altos, about 15 miles west (north?) of San Jose.
Further information about the group and the related Silicon Valley Boardgamers available at our Yahoo group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/gamesday
Next event is Saturday May 4. Hope you all can make it.
