General Information
The Yucata 2-Player Series is a year-long series of 2-player, double elimination tournaments played using the play-by-web site yucata.de. Everyone is welcome to play and a new tournament will begin once or twice a month. A typical tournament will involve playing a number of best-of-3 matches against other players. As long as you keep winning your matches, you keep playing! There will be a maximum of 10-12 rounds in the tournament, and a full event may take as long as six months to complete (although only a small fraction of the players will play that much).
If you are interested in joining one or more of these events, please do two things:
a) Subscribe to this geeklist so that you will receive a notification each
time a new event is signing up.
b) Read (or at least skim) the "Details and Policies" document linked above
to get a more in-depth sense of what playing in an a Y(2)PS event is like
and what is expected of you.
There will be 16 tournaments, each for a different game, in the first season. The season will span the 2013/2014 academic year (August to June) with one or two events in each month. Players will earn League Points (LPs) for each event in which they compete. A player's 8 best tournaments will count towards the Series leaderboard, which will eventually yield a Y2PS grand champion!

To keep the vote meaningful, please only vote if you have a strong desire to play in a tournament for the game, were it to be selected. A vote for a game will be considered as a pre-registration for the respective tournament once the lineup is settled. You can always withdraw before the tournament begins, of course, but I'd like all the votes to come from prospective players.
If you are interested in playing in the Series, don't forget to subscribe to this geeklist for udpates as the lineup gets set and the tournaments begin. Please feel free to message me or comment with any suggestions or questions.
