There are are many games that are released to the public to print out and play. Right now I am not in a position to be able to buy many games so I love the idea of being able to print some new games. I am not talking about games that people have scanned so others can print them. The games I am referring to are the games that people created for gamers to play and enjoy at no cost.

I would appreciate your comments on any of these games you have played.

*I have updated the list to allow public additions. I was able to keep up with all the great new free games being released!

Yes it's my game but it's FREE! It's print and play! It's a football (soccer) management game which plays solo AND multiplayer.
It's also alive to suggestion and changing in rules as people play.
Some great feedback on it so far and it's not very ink-intensive.

Pondemonium is a free print'n'play two players fantasy wargame, where frogs and turtles fight for the control of a Pond.
Pondemonium born as a ruleset for the Eureka Miniatures Pond Wars range.
The ruleset have also various components (all free to download and prin't'n'play) that make the game similiar to a real boardgame, the miniatures player can use the fantastic miniatures from Eureka, the boardgamers can use the print'n'play miniature included.
The game is based on the turtles and frogs armies, the first must defend the pond with his better defensive ability, the second must sorrund the enmies and conquest the pond with his majority of troops and his mobility.
The main mechanics of the games are: action points based on cards, movement based on the number of terrain
crossed, and d6 rolling for the battle.

BACKGROUND
Since the beginning of time, the Dark Frond Swamp was the theater of battles between Frogs and Turtles. While Turtles live in an empire based on labourers and industrial development, Frog are ruled by an evil King that focus the wellness of his reign on war and conquests. From ages Turtles were forced to rise the level of the military tactics to defend borders from the brute force of the Frog army. Battle after battle, Turtle defenses weakened, giving Frogs a great opportunity. Now the Frog King is coming, with new technological warfare machines. The next assault could create a direct passage in the Turtle land. The time is right, and unexpected. Turtles are not warned about Frog. Will the heroic captain Cracked Shell be able to win even this desperate battle?

Farrapos - Board Game
Designer: Julio Trois
Publisher: TroisStudio
http://troisstudio.blogspot.com
Print & Play

On September 20, 1835, began the longest and bloodiest revolution in Brazil's history. In the province of São Pedro do Rio Grande do Sul, was proclaimed a Riograndense Republic. For nearly 10 years, troops loyal to the Empire of Brazil fought epic battles against the troops of the new Republic!

"Farrapos" is a board game for 2 players created by Julio Trois, which has the theme the Farroupilha Revolution. During 11 rounds each army will win the largest number of cities, adding up the maximum points possible.

"Farrapos" is a tactical game, where military strategy is very important. Each player must organize his troops, composed of tiles of infantry, cavalry and artillery. The clashes follow the style of the best wargames using dices and tables, for the resolution of battles.

This game was created after playing Deep Space D6, and wishing for a bit more theme and narrative in the mix.

Star Trek: the Dice Game forces you to decide between three key areas to which you can deploy your resources each turn. Mission cards must be completed to win the game. Event cards must be overcome to protect yourself. And Development cards should be bought to help achieve the first two goals. Getting the balance right is the difference between success and ignominious failure.

All printable game components have been produced in greyscale to minimise printer ink costs. You can find all necessary files in the Files section.

You will also need several tokens (clear yellow glass beads work best), along with 10 six sided dice.

Thanks Chad V.
This list presents a perfect opportunity to plug my recently published game.

‘Crush Monster Rampage!’ is the sequel to my popular 2010 game, ‘Smash Monster Rampage!’.
This expansion uses the same playing board, buildings, military units and dice but introduces a deadly new monster with new ‘Monster Hit’ cards.

A huge multi-tentacled monster is attacking your city.
From below!
It destroys everything in its path, moving effortlessly around the city on a tangle of amorphous tentacles. As it moves, the monster pushes tentacles into the ground, creating a network of tunnels beneath the city.
Tentacles burst up through the ground grabbing tanks and helicopters and crushing whole buildings.

Check out the trailer on YouTube;

A web-published 2-player non-collectable Dr. Who card game.

Why I think you might like this game:

1. Twelve Doctors (TD) deals with the Who Universe in a completely different way than all the other games that have tackled the sprawling subject matter. This is not a game about collecting VPs, or completing dusty objectives in museums, or about ferrying mythical objects from one far-flung planet to the next. TD is a game about thwarting the Master and destroying his minions.
2. TD is a fast-paced Who game.
3. The Master player gets to do really cool things: destroy planets, start interstellar wars, mesmerise the Doctor's companions, use death-dealing gizmos, deploy forcefields, and invade Nexus points with all of the coolest villainy from around Muttar's Spiral.
4. The Doctor has all the gadgets and assistants that you would expect from a decent Who-game. Plus he's able to drop temporal marauders into black holes, or give them a slap with Venusian Aikido, or give them a serious headache with the Hand of Omega.
5. All of the iconic villains appear amongst the cards (not every card is a Dalek or Cyberman).
6. A great deal of the Doctor's assistants make an appearance. Not all, but most.
7. The game is drawn from the entire run - not just the current iteration of Who. So you will see the Axos from Seeds of Doom, the Wirrn from Arc in Space, Kroll from The Power of Kroll, etc. I think you get the idea.
8. All of the Doctors can play a part. Even Paul McGann.
9. The game is designed by someone that has read about 50+ Dr. Who Target paperbacks, played and run a huge number of Who adventures using the FASA RPG, and is a MASSIVE Tom Baker fan.

At its core, "The Age of Sovereigns" is a military strategy, but the game is not limited strictly to combating. An important part of gameplay is the construction of buildings (common and special buildings, 26 total). Due to these constructions players can multiply their wealth and / or fame, along with the development of the army.
The game is divided into various stages. In the era of "Kingdoms Rising" players gradually get bonuses specific to the kingdom. In the era of the "End of Times" all events are resolved. These two steps constitute the main part of the game, when the players give a variety of orders and fight. In the era of "Destiny" victory points and fines are scored.
The dice are not used during the battles, so the game is not that much random
The game has low downtime and relatively short playing time (30 minutes per player).

GAME COMPONENTS (For Two Players):
A. PnP files include:
1) 3 sovereign cards for each player;
2) 5 destiny cards;
3) 40 combat cards;
4) 8 kingdom bonus cards;
5) 14 End of Times cards;
6) 2 sets of 10 order tokens for each kingdom;
7) 2 sets of 33 building tokens for each kingdom;
8) 2 sets of 15 army unit tokens for each kingdom;
9) 2 sets of 2 (Barbarians) and 3 (Paladins) special army unit tokens for each kingdom;
10) 5 rebellion tokens;
11) other tokens: 6 revolutionary tokens, 9 plague tokens, 1 glory token, 2 Great Conqueror tokens; 6 defend token.
12) 1 playfield for two players.
B. Components NOT Provided (May be Taken From Other Games):
Tokens to represent gold talents. Besides, it is preferable to substitute the tokens of common and special army units by the miniatures from other games (we use Risk: Godstorm).

MythWars: Clash of the Gods is a CCG (customizable / collectable card game) for 2-4 players, aged 12 to adult. Each player controls a group of 4 gods, goddesses, and/or other entities, each with a different ability: some abilities may help their allies, or hinder their enemies; others may grant special attacks, or bring in extra reinforcements. New gods, goddesses, and other entities are revealed as the game progresses, and each one in play gets an attack each round (at least, until they run out of Energy points, at which point they are removed from the game). The winner is the last player with any entities left standing.

The game is being released under a Creative Commons license (BY-NC-SA 3.0), and currently has two Battle Sets available for free as PDFs, featuring 32 gods and goddesses total (8 per page). In the interest of full disclosure, I will note that I am the designer and publisher, and that I do offer the game for sale on the same site, although all of the cards have been (and will continue to be) released as free PDFs.

SUIT UP

Description: Suit Up is a tongue-in-cheek action-drafting board game centered on the world of social interaction and dating. In the game, 2-6 players (4 is the ideal) will spend 60-90 minutes competing with each other to increase their social circle. They will gain valuable contacts and friends and, hopefully, find a true companion that will stick with them through thick and thin.

In Suit Up, you will guide a guy or gal of your choosing along a new path with lifelong consequences. Where will you go in the city to develop your skills and resources? Which people will you influence to achieve your goals? What strange fates will befall your fellow players? With Valentine's Day only two weeks away, will you spend it alone, in a crowd of friends, or with a true friend and companion?

Link to WIP page & updates.

The Battle of Sacile is a free Print & Play game simulating the battle fought on 16 April 1809 that saw an Austrian army commanded by Archduke John of Austria defeat a Franco-Italian army led by Eugène de Beauharnais and force it to retreat. Sacile proved to be the most notable victory of John's career. The action took place east of the Livenza River near Sacile in modern-day Italy during the War of the Fifth Coalition, part of the Napoleonic Wars.

The "Historical Documents Edition" of this 1979 microgame is now available for download from the BGG files section for the game.

UPDATE: The Remastered Edition rulebook is also now available for download!

The game's cover blurb describes it as follows:

"Java Man is a simulation game of tribal politics and survival in the pre-historic, pre-agricultural, pre-civilized era. Each player attempts to control a single tribe, to ensure the survival of his tribe, and to boost it along the road to civilization. Towards this end, players work to control the normally random movements of their tribes across a hexagon grid representing a typical area of the pre-historic world, so as to avoid or destroy hostile tribes, contact friendly tribes, and gather as much food as possible."

"The success or failure of previous actions influences a tribe's willingness to obey a leader's orders. Tribes may be ordered, among other things, to go on the warpath against other tribes, to strip the immediate area bare of food, or to conduct mystic rituals, which may have dire results. A unique aspect of this simulation is that, theoretically, a player may win by ordering nothing at all. Of course, victory is more likely if the leader seizes control of the tribe and leads it boldly into the future... or perhaps into a tar pit."

"Game length is 4 years (16 turns) or until all tribes but one are extinct, or longer by mutual agreement of the players. As few as one or as many as want to can play at one time, using the same rules. A four-color map and die-cut counters for up to five players are provided. A regular, 6-sided die (not included) is necessary for play. Typical playing time is two hours."

Asymmetry is a 2-player card game where you use cards to make a simple equation that allows you trade your red cubes for better yellow, green, and blue cubes. Get the right cubes to complete two of the goals and you're the winner!

PnP files are in the Files section and they include the full artwork with rules. The only things you need to add are 10 red cubes, 8 yellow cubes, 6 green cubes, and 5 blue cubes.

If you decide to try it out, please let me know your thoughts or if you have any questions.

Edit: The files have been updated with the word "Asymmetry" at the bottom of the Equation cards. There was some confusion as to which way the cards were supposed to go.

The Rainbow Deck is a cardgame system that has a total of 162 cards. There are 12 suits with each suit having 13 ranks, and 4 Joker cards. The suits are represented by both colour and zodiac symbols. The ranks are from 1 to K. The cards also numbered from 1 to 120.

The deck can be adapted to play a variety of games, just like a deck of Poker cards. The difference is that Rainbow deck has 8 more suits and also numbers from 1 to 120, thus it is most suitable for playing abstract games that require numbers or colours. It can also be used by game designers as components in their own prototype games.

A Geeklist that contains the games that the deck can be adapted to play can be found here (http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/47512/item/1079890#item107...).

The PnP files are at the files section. The deck is also available at The GameCrafter (http://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/rainbow-deck).

In this game free to download and play, as Caesar, You will defend a system of ramparts, forts and awesome fortifications with units representing legion cohorts, leaders, archers, Germanic cavalry and, as Vergingetorix, you will assault the Roman besiegers with infantry and cavalry units from 46 Gallic tribes. The game system comes from the Ancients freeware game with some modifications.

Name: Gunfighter
Number of Players: Two players
Game Time: 15-30 minutes
Genre: Non-collectible card game
Theme: Wild West
Components: 54 cards, 6 paper clips

Gunfighter is a light (15-30 minute) non-collectible card game for two players that features high stakes dueling through simultaneous action selection.

During each game, the player’s goal is threefold: increase two main stats (accuracy and bullets), successfully land shots on the enemy, and avoid the enemy's shots.

Although the game is easy to learn, the many combinations of individual playstyles and possible card variations create high replayability, tension during card reveal, and strategic depth.
