A rather deep pool for me. Always inviting. I think about what my people have learned and who they might be. There are a lot of different types of people in this box. I feel happy. Exhilarated. I am playing my absolute favorite game. And I am fairly sure that it is.

I make my people be who I think they should be. I am the decision maker. I make the decisions. I love buying tiles that appear to fit with my plans for my city. I love imagining how happy or unhappy the citizens will be with the last tile that was placed. There is real narrative possibility in this game. And I like that.

A well rounded game. What do I like best about this? The cards, nearly all of them could be very useful if the situation was right. The betting part. I love to gamble. Use just enough, but not too much or devalue your cards, not to mention you could use those left over cards in the next round. The artwork is pretty. I like the personalities of the King and Queen. Vague. Haughty. A generic theme, adventurous in nature, with gameplay that in my estimation packs in the maximum amount of fun factor into a Rapa Nui style game possible. Highly recommended card game with a lot more punch and flow than you would expect after reading the rules. Very intuitive design, mostly because the theming helps to explain a lot of the game mechanics. Don't listen to them. For a large chunk of people out there theming and art can make or break your prototype. Spend the money or at least take the safe average if you know your game is good.

I will watch what is going on. Take a lot of Panda eats cards. Try to make hard enough goals. And watch the garden grow. It is pretty. I don't care who wins. I am caught up more in the smaller events and goals than the end state of the game. We do our best and it is always good enough to be fun.

The gameplay, the components, the fish market theme, the hoping to get that fish that I need. The decision to use a fish for a wish or take it as a fish. The salvaging of fish for the market. The scheming.

I like the happy artwork. I like the view that often to win you must generate enough trash but not too much. I enjoy the hand management and the press your luck elements. And there is pumping of cards in the negative points phase and that is fun. I like the hand limit size. There is an element to this game that feels like you are simultaneously playing against the game system itself and the other person playing. Really great stuff for a light filler. Hilarious to play against an avid recycler and self confessed mild hoarder. I may need to examine Traders of Carthage more closely. I just didn't enjoy the way that ToC felt like an indirect contest of slight advantages. It felt too controlled. Let us free. Let us at least think that we are.

I heard Rahdo's mannerisms of well if I go here and then Jen will go there, and I thought so he is into these higher level strategies and seems to be heavily focused on gameplay, instead of theme more of the time like the non casuals. And I felt a little left out and a little angry honestly. Like it would be better with all of that is my reaction. And then we played Fresco. And we were both doing what I heard. And it was fun, yet challenging. But fun too. And I didn't know that it would be. I will watch from the sidelines for now.

The art and animal theme got me to buy this. Despite me knowing that it would be too expensive to play. I was surprised to find out that I enjoyed the gameplay. For us we don't necessarily care that a game is 100 percent balanced. Takenoko is not balanced as far as the goal cards, but I suspect that may be by design based on what is the most fun to do. We try to balance this, and enjoy it. I believe the source for our cards is xekoshop. I only care about owning and playing the physical version of the game and despise the LCG and CCG models equally. I also view licensed games such as what Fantasy Flight puts out similarly to how I view action movie sequels. Prove me wrong is what I say. Xeko has gameplay. I sort of enjoyed buying these cards. And yeah I now play a mostly defunct CCG and have probably bought the cards for it from someone other than the creators of this game? Way more positives than negatives for us when it is there on the table being played. Actually worth what we have spent on it. More clearly and easily worth it than the Lotr Lcg though dissimilar in every way. Less expensive so far.

I have a bad memory. I wonder how bad the super short term memory is though when I am focused? I have tricks and moods to help me but they break down very fast. This game is so fast that played at a good clip I can often keep up with my straight A, type A personality, worrywart wife and it fascinates me and taxes me in the right way. I am scared to not write down things, rightly so. I have shorthand and systems that function much the same as your alert and active memory. I prove this every weekend, and there are a few areas, that I can see where my systems are stronger yet still slower and more labor intensive, than remembering would be. Sometimes more thorough. Sometimes not. It depends on the area and time. I love the artwork. I feel a theme. The best fall themed game I have played and looking at the titles that have been designed by this game designer perhaps a likely pick for my favorite designer. Chudyk or this guy is my favorite probably. Or is it Andrew Parks? Time may tell if time continues.

Take care of one and do a little with the others or do many at once? Sabotage? Extreme 2d. You could always get better maybe?

3d Metro. I want it.

This may not deserve this spot but I had a great time getting sucked into this game, playing it out as a story that I would write. Just enough art and activity to set off that itch to write down "with extras" what is going on. Who these people are. The fantasy soap opera and the devious plans being hatched. Ha ha I got you, but we aren't really playing a take that game. It is larger. There is maneuvering and more planning, and the take that's are as rare as they are vicious. I enjoyed the long, slow, laborious play of this, probably too much. This is about as much fun to keep track of as Innovation and Potion Making Practice. Good luck playing with more than 2 players and I find the idea of playing a lot of these with more than 2, to be about as funny as playing Wasabi or Drecksau for the strategy and gameplay. Not to say that I don't enjoy those two games at all. I would play both of them.

I like the gameplay and the variety of characters. And the brash bravado that is the rollable mats. Old, wizened opponents could play this. And they would not care about luck because to know your character is only half the battle. Cross out half like maybe less than that. Be unpredictable yet play your role. A gambling house in a samurai movie. A character inside the machine. At the grocery store in the space between the sliding doors and the store entrance is a well used arcade machine with, get this, instead of blood and pain happy characters looking to be used. Rolling Panda. I am there. Play with me. And if it wasn't saving aces etc... I don't know. I really want to like this one as much as I have said. I think I do. For now.
