I'll summarize my plays and experiences, and Chris will use the comments section to summarize the tournament overall.

I ran Kate and original HB.

pre-tourney friendly My Kate big rig vs. DK's 'jinteki whirlpool on a dare'. I got my MO out and then my Yogasaurus/Personal Touch and pretty much went to town.

Tourney match 1: Kate vs. Weyland (Travis)
I got off to the Magnum Opus start and the Yogasaurus/PT combo and tinkered to good effect. Except for the part where I face-checked an Archer. Ouch. No Opus, clicking for 1, couldn't draw a Quality Time or Diesel or Opus to save myself. No money to clear a tag, and then even w/ Personal Sympathy and a full hand, I was a card shy of withstanding a brace of Scorched Earths.

HB vs. Andromeda (travis)
Travis got the start he wanted. He used Crypsis to snag 2 quick agendas. I got PAD and Eve out for my economy and Ash + Red Herrings behind the vertical tower to score the agendas.

Good to at least win a game.

Second Match: Kate vs. Brad's Jinteki
Kate again rides Yogasaurus/Opus to the win. This time my gut was right and those 4 counters sitting there were in fact a Junebug. I got the rig up n running and was able to snag agendas as they were placed.

My HB vs. Brad's Gabe.
Tough match, But I was able win on points at time call, but was a turn away from scoring a 5/3, so this was another solid outing.

Third Match: vs. Gerardo
Kate vs. NBN
I had a sold 5 pts., but Gerardo's fast advance was just faster than Kate as I expected.

HB vs. Gerardo's Andromeda.
I was able to guard HQ, but once Sneakdoor Beta went down, I could not draw ice to save my life (or before not that that mattered) and once I guarded that, Gerardo was still able to power through as needed-especially a nice inside job combo to snag a crucial agenda.

I think I finished w/ 31 points and yes, last-but got the alt art for Melange and chance to play A:NR for an afternoon.

Mucho props to Chris for organizing this and getting the kit for us to enjoy. More, please

The meta: "New Girl in Town". Chaos Theory sucks her thumb in the corner while Andromeda is hotter than a $3 pistol at a flea market.

Lots of HB action as well. But overall, there is quite a bit of variation and success amongst the identities, so I think the Sacto area meta is healthy and vibrant

RJ and Matt tried out this new Z-man title with RJ winning. Later, RJ, Matt, Chris, and Ian played. This time, Matt used his 'learning game' to inform his second play and the win.

After Netrunner, we got a 7p game of Resistance Avalon:
Travis (evil)
RJ
Afshin
Ian (evil)
Matt
Blake? (evil)
David

I pegged RJ pretty early via his rejections and the fact that Matt continued to approve and go on succesful missions, sorta fingered Afshin, but not Blake. It was a hard fought game going to the fifth mission before the Evil-doers tanked it for the win.

This look like a nice fun superhero (or in this case villain) romp. Well, I could get NOTHING going. Seriously, every time I managed to block off 3 sections, I got one stomped. So instead of going level 1 and 2 and onwards, I stuck at level zero.

[master sifu to Po]: "There is now a level zero".

This may be a fun game, but honestly I'm going to have to actually do something other than rebuild to scratch to experience it. it happens.
