As the name states, I am looking for games playable with a deck of cards, and no other components, besides dice and maybe some tokens. Anyway, I hope there are a good amount of games out there that fit this category.

This is a game that we played lots in University with just a deck of cards. Unfortunately as you will read in the BGG entry you don't get told much about the rules. Best to play with someone that has already played.

Oh yeah your first few games may have you cursing....which may lead to more cursing

12 cards only.

Experior has minimalist rules: you can explain them in 30 seconds. But it is quite deep.

One of the purest fighting 2-player card-games. An Elf and an Human fight against each other improving their experiences in sword, bow and magic.

It is a print and play game.

Besides there is the Golem solo version too.

Kols is a 2-player perfect information trick-taking game that simulates a conflict between two opposing fronts.

The game is split into 2 phases. In the first phase you will use cards from your hand to obtain cards from the middle, attempting to increase your military strength (deck-building). In the second phase you will play cards to 5 different battlefields attempting to achieve key victories and win points.

Players play with 3-card hands, with all cards being shown to each other at the start of the game.

Each draw pile is face up so players can have a rough idea what their opponent's hand is - and then they have to guess "Will they bluff?". The players reveal a card, with the larger card revealed capturing the smaller.

Can be played with one or two decks of cards.

Originally published as part of the computer game Fallout: New Vegas.
The rules are freely available. Ante is paid in bottlecaps.
You need two decks of cards, one for each player, even though you don't use the entire deck.

Plenty of variations exist if you want to tinker.

It's a bit like black jack, except both players are building against each other on several rows representing caravans.

The game has certain modern CCG tricks to it, for instance: jacks, queens kings and jokers lets you switch cards around, lets you switch color on some streaks, lets you double the value of certain cards and lets you remove certain cards, so you're not just adding up small numbers like in a blackjack game, you're also trying to trick your opponent along the way so there is a bit of bluffing going on as well.

Mentioned in Sid Sackson's A Gamut of Games, this is a game of perfect information invented by G. Capellen before World War 1.
