The piecepack system is a generic set of components that can be used to play a great variety of games. There are about 150 free games listed at the piecepack.org web site and/or at the piecepack wiki.

Some of the games have their own pages here at BGG too, but in my opinion too few... I've submitted all my "completed" games plus many from other designers and I think every person that designed a piecepack game should do the same.

So, here's a list of piecepack games that have their own page in the BGG database. Some are listed as published by "piecepack games" and were easy to find, but others just say so in their descriptions, so I had to search the database with google which was time consuming...

Feel free to add games if I missed any, and also if anyone adds games to the database, add them here too...

UPDATE: Now that there are "families" in BGG, check the piecepack family for a list that should be as complete as this one (and should eventually make this one obsolete...).

Cell Management is a solitaire game for a standard piecepack. The player attempts to execute a jailbreak of sorts from an alien spaceship. Their captors have abducted several species, and you may have to stage some escape attempts as diversions from the real jailbreak.

Cell Management is based on the mechanisms in gene regulatory networks, which help a biological cell respond to changes in its environment dynamically. The board setup is in essence a circular bacterial DNA strand, the guards are RNA polymerase, the captives are transcribed RNA sequences which become promoters and repressors for other transcription sites, and escaped captives actually become proteins in the cell.

Positional strategy game finished by yours truly on February 2010. The design was completely intuitive (no math involved) so there might be a winning strategy lurking somewhere, or a solution, or some feature that might have gone unnoticed during the playtesting sessions. Any feedback is welcome.

The setting is ancient Egypt. Pharaoh is dying, and, in a break from tradition, has decided that he will name an heir who will best serve Egypt's interests rather than hand the nation over to his handsome but rather dim-witted first-born son. Each player is the leader of a powerful Egyptian Noble Family with the ambition to rise to the level of Pharaoh. Rival Families will provide stiff competition, and all will have to contend with the force of nature that dictates the pattern of Egyptian life -- the River Nile. In flood the Nile can provide increased harvests but may also damage structures, whereas severe drought will cause starvation and suffering.

Pharaoh has issued several decrees. He demands a great harvest, sufficient people to build yet another mighty monument to himself upon his death (most likely a pyramid, although occasionally the Pharaohs preferred big cat-like things), as well as in increase in the worship of (read: sacrifice to) his favorite gods. In return for excelling in these areas of ancient Egyptian life, Pharaoh is willing to make you his heir. Oh, yes, one last thing -- Pharaoh also rewards the Families that develop the most valuable buildings and the most desirable land districts...

Remove all but one coin by formulating mathematical equations using strings of coins. The coins that make up these equations must be orthogonally adjacent to one another (no gaps), but may be read in any of the four cardinal directions: left–right, right–left, up–down or down–up. Null coins have a value of zero, and ace coins have a value of one. Once an equation has been formulated, remove any one coin from the string that made up that equation (your choice). For example, in the above diagram, starting at space d2 and reading down–up: 2 + 2 = 4. With that equation, you could choose to remove any one of the three coins at d2, d3 or d4.

Repeat until only one coin remains (in which case you win) or until there are two or more coins remaining, none of which can be removed (in which case you lose). After learning the basics and winning a few games, keep track of your best time!

Epic Funhouse is an interlocking suite of solitaire games representing a trip through a fun house with stops in six rooms. The rooms are designed to be played together in order, especially since the setup for each is affected by how you play the previous game. However, with a little ingenuity, each game can also be played separately.

A Solitary Confinement game for the piecepack

The year is 1626, and France is under the control of Cardinal Richelieu. The King and Queen are weak, and there is no love lost between the King’s musketeers and the Cardinal’s guards. In a castle in Normandy, four musketeers have just broken out of solitary confinement. The castle is well garrisoned, with a full company of the Cardinal’s guards, but the musketeers are determined to locate evidence of the Cardinal’s treachery against the King, that they know is somewhere within the castle. They form a plan; each musketeer will search a different set of particular halls and chambers, and then attempt to escape from the castle while defeating as many guards as possible. Hopefully the musketeer with the evidence will reach the King. The task ahead won’t be easy, but there is hope, and the musketeers have knowledge of a secret network of underground passages beneath the castle that the guards are unaware of.

In Cardinal’s Guards, the player moves the musketeers around the castle, defeating or luring guards, while searching various chambers, before trying to escape.

* The musketeers are represented by the four pawns.
* The coins represent the guards.
* The tiles represent castle chambers.
* The dice are used to keep track of the chambers searched.

The player’s score at the end of the game is based upon the number of chambers searched, the number of guards defeated, and the number of musketeers who escape.

The winner of First Mesomorph Piecepack contest. A deduction game where players hide treasures in the wilderness (represented by a board made of tiles) and write clues to their locations.

The game's mechanic for searching is nicely done and when someone finds a treasure at a location, no one else knows, so the secret remains for the other players.

The big one is comming! Don't wall in the Pacific Ocean.

Players place coins to establish cities and roll dice to determine when quakes will happen. Tiles will shift and cities will be destroyed. If your cities are closer to the Ocean at game end you'll have the most valuable property and win the game.
