Though the graphics are prototype quality at best, my first impression is, there is a nifty, clever game inside.
Since I'll be lacking time to do any crafting this month, I recommend this one to you. If you do not get too scared away from simple graphics, go and do take a look at this one!

I've got this mostly finished, enough to play several games. I still need to make a box & make or find better chef & cat tokens. I printed the cards, fish board, & market board on 110 lb cardstock, then laminated them. The goods tokens were stuck to an thrifted board then I used an arc punch to make the round tokens. For the the money I just used my stock stickered coin stickers. For the 1st game we used monopoly money but because your exchanging the money so much I just find using the coins to be an easier way. I'm also not too crazy with the dice I'm using but that's what I have so they'll have to do for now. I'm using small white dice for the fish dice but would like to have some ecru or bone colored dice. This game plays well with 2 players but I'd like to try it with more. It's really nice to find a commodity game that works well with 2 players. I think I might like to play the game with more rounds though.

I finished this up with a stickered tin & polymer clay tokens.

We used to play this with my mom but when my brother moved back our game group became 5 so we couldn't play this anymore. In the game files was posted a 5th player board but it was in german & that's all there was. I scanned in 1 set of my game playing pieces, recolored, renamed the main city & printed out. The main problem was the building tiles as I didn't have a punch size needed. Usually when I make a game I'll resize components to fit the need but as these need to match the retail bits I had to get creative. I hand cut the tiles with a pair of cuticle scissors & made the discs with fimo, I also made a few more amphora's from fimo as well. I mounted the scanned temple on a recycled game board then carefully cut it out, it's not bad but I might replace all the temples with something else.

I started this one last month, but I'll probably finish it in a couple of days.

I've been a fan of the original Delve: The Dice Game, a one-sheet-of-paper-dungeon-delving-adventure with some push-your-luck dice rolling mechanics. The designer also made a advanced version, but all traces of it seem to be gone... until I stumbled on a very low-res image of all the cards on artscow.

The image was not usable for printing, but I was able to decipher all the texts and abilities - so I redesigned my own version. I used pictures from some old D&D-books, and I also 'extended' the game a bit by adding junctions and more treasures....

The images below are only mock-ups, but I'll post pictures when I finish my build.

Edit: I really wanted to finish this project quickly now :-), so here are the pictures of my build...

Recently finished this prototype copy for my Boston Festival of Indie Games submission.

It was fun learning how to transfer images onto porcelain tiles (for the character minis) and thick chits of transparent plastic (for the items that can be worn/carried by characters).

I'll be crafting two more nice prototypes between now and September (in preparation for the Festival), and will be making half a dozen all-paper copies for local playtesters this month.

I foresee the entire weekend of July 13 filled with cutting, trimming, and sleeving...

Good thing I enjoy that stuff.

Made a pnp copy of this (I've already pledged for it) using four decks of playing cards, 20+ pages of labels, and something like 168 sleeves...really enjoyed this deck-building word game and look forward to playing it some more. My 9 year old even enjoyed seeing what he could do and came up with a pretty good score, at least for a first time!

I think this is probably my favorite word game currently...and if you don't like your letters, you have no one but yourself to blame for it

A game that focuses on building a successful ant colony. The goal is to produce reproductive male and female ants that will migrate away from your colony with little emphasis on conflict and more on producing successful offspring.

I've been eying this game for quite sometime since I first stumbled across it not too long ago. At the moment I'm reading through the rules getting a feel for the game before tackling the game itself. I will say this, the designer has definitely done his research and it shows throughout the rulebook. (He even included a bibliography which just tickled me silly

I've got a lot of free time these days, so I decided, after Delve, to start anothe PnP that was high on my wishlist...

Inspector Moss: House Arrest is a game that probably doesn't need an introduction here... It's a witty little solo print-and-play game that won the BGG 2011 Solitaire Print and Play Contest. It's also an excellent game of puzzling and deduction and uses a push-your-luck, yathzee style dice rolling mechanism to make you, the inspector, find the murderer and escort him/her to the police car - all before the timer hits zero.

The game has some nice artwork, that gives it a nostalgic Clue feeling, although I'm not overly fond of the pawn-heads...

I thought the game would also go well with a different theme, so I decided to give it a 'comic noir' redesign!

First of all, I made the suspects:

I've put them together on this banner... Meet, from left to right, Chuck 'CPA' Liddle, Barry 'Bad Cop' Oldman, Rick 'Highway' Rossy, Little Josie Hughes, Slim Hughes, Kadie, Crazy Atee Ate, Gogo Chibusa, Marvin Duke and Brother Mercy. The artwork comes from different 'comic noir', mostly by Frank Miller...And yes, the names are references to other people/things/... :-)

This is a mock-up of how they will look like, with a suspect an a not-guilty side.

For the tiles I decided not to use a house as setting - but the whole town. Again, I used backgrounds from different comics. The doors became yellow lines, the locks became police tape. I redesigned the different symbols on the tiles too (assistance/suspect/evidence, dice and secret passageway/sewer)

Of course, this is also a mock-up.

I've also revamped the tokens, using the same icons as the tiles. I've kept some of the symbols of the original game.

Again, a mock-up... :-)

Lastly, I made the two player boards. I added the assistance icons and their explanation to the 'Injunction Board'...

And a little frivolity on my part... Bullet holes in the player board! Thanks to the foamcore hole puncher :-)

All the files are mounted on 3mm foamcore. I really like working with this material. I use a spray glue to mount them, it works really well. The die are from http://www.thediceshoponline.com/

I realized after I made it that I have the dials for days and hit points reversed. It was a little tough trying to make it, so hopefully the second time around it will come out better using the lessons learned with the first one.

I decided to finish some of my incomplete projects. The cards & board were printed on cardstock & laminated. The cards were made from Willdesigns file & the board is mrkillabee file. I printed the card library & rules on brown paper to give it a more vintage look. For the tokens I used a thrifted little guy for the investigator & a sculpted fimo Narly. The box is a thrifted tin covered in stickers I cobbled together. I also made a tuckbox in the same style. Some chessex red dice are the final touch.

Finally finished this Rathulhu retheme by user The Warp. This is actually my second build as the 1st one i gave to my brother. I had the stickered scrabble tiles done but nothing else. The board is laminated & mounted on foamcore, the bag was a thrift find, the box is a recycled box that I painted grey then stickered. The bid tokens are made from polymer clay then accented with acrylic paint. I won the Cthulhu figure & 2 of it's brothers in a G4GG lottery.

This is another one that was almost finished for forever all that was needed was a box. I mounted the wheels on those clear spacers found in cd spindles, the cards are laminated cardstock & the tokens are stuck to bingo chips. The little plastic snap containers I picked up at the dollar store & the clear box is one I grabbed from my Mom, I think it had candies in it. The cubes are fimo.

You'll notice there's no money in my build of Fish Cook that's because I made a set of these. These were made from my Coin Stickers for Common Coins file but modified to fit only pennies, dimes & nickles (I'm too broke to use any of the higher denominations).

I keep these at my table to be used in whatever game needs them. The screw containers are great for storage & were bought at the dollar store.

I completed Crystal Pyramid by translating the components and rules to English, and by providing cardboard tokens for those who want to play the game without the need for acrylic crystals:

I'm totally in love with the art of this game & I kickstarted this game at the level to get the complete game. I have everything printed up & have the player & main boards mounted on a recycled monopoly board. I made up some fimo player tokens to match basically the ones in the retail version. The cards need the back & fronts to be put together & I need to still make the chew tokens.

I finished this up including a tuckbox for the cards. The box & token box are stickered recycled boxes although cut down & using the game art. The cards were a pain in the a** because the file wasn't aligned right. I usually make more traditionally pretty games to entice Pierre to play them as that's what he likes. This was all for me, I love the art, theme ect. Pierre thinks it's rather grotesque but he'll play it because he lurvs me.

Finally got around to ordering some cards from PrinterStudio, so this is just the first of several items I'll be adding. Sure, I could've just printed this out on paper, but fitting it onto two tarot-sized cards seemed like an interesting challenge. I redrew the board in Inkscape, and the cubes are plastic ones I use for other stuff.

Played it twice, losing once to my daughter. She says she'd play it again.
