Games I'd Review, How About You?

For a while now I've done a series of reviews with my soon to be wife called Gaming on a Budget. Just recently we were sent our first ever review copy of a game (see below) and it got me thinking. If I had the money/ability to acquire any games for reviewing purposes what would they be? And then I thought talking to myself is no fun, so I'll share with you all. What would you guys cover if you got the chance? And remember, fun to write about not just play heh.

My first ever reviewer copy of a game. I don't want to give any spoilers, but suffice it to say Brent is an amazing guy. Not only did he send me a game, but he even signed it for me! Even included a secret game tip though he did later tell me that was a joke heh. Expect a review up pretty soon.

I don't know what it is about this game, but if I had the $$ for a copy I'd love to cover it. I think it has something to do with how often it gets compared to another game that it really only has a superficial resemblance to. I think every game deserves to be taken on it's own merits.

I've been curious about this one for a while. After entering the contest and learning more about it I'm now extra super curious. I'm also kind of cautious too though. After getting and loathing Space Cadets gimmicky games make me nervous. And yet...

After getting her a copy of Mr. Jack my future wife has been really into the whole 'Jack the ripper' thing. This game has some positive buzz around it. That kind of thing always makes me wonder, does it deserve it?

This games seems like it has so many of the elements we enjoy in a board game. The theme is an old favorite for me and my fiancé adores the artwork and style. But this one comes with a mighty steep price tag. So those of us with thinner wallets need to ask, is it worth it?

Such an odd little game, but I just know my fiancé would have a field day taking pictures of this. Plus it seems to be almost a cult thing, and I have no end of curiosity about those.

Or nearly anything on kickstarter really. I think it's the mystery of the thing as much as anything. Most of these games are complete unknowns after all so it makes one wonder. Plus kickstarter usually involves a pretty size able investment.

Do I even need to explain this one? You could cut the hype with a knife.

Everyone and they're brother seem to adore this game. And at a super low price it seems ideal for asking 'its cheap, but is there enough game here?'. I just don't know about a game made of a handful of cards.

It's kind of one of those household names among us gamers. I've played Carcassonne, Settlers, etc. but not this. Is it all they say, and more importantly worth the $$?

I'm not sure I understand the appeal, but my fiancé is convinced we need a copy to review. Not even sure what its about...

This one looks like it would be a huge hit in my house. Sadly the KS project has been postponed so who knows if I will get a chance? But this is Minion we're talking about, I suspect they can pull it off.

I love the base game. But I have heard a lot of grumbling about this expansion. Something about tokens not fitting the holes or some such?

I've heard some good things, and some bad, about this one. But what really makes me curious is how much my buddy HATES this game. He will rant and rave and generally carry on about how awful it is. Can anything be that bad?

Dice games have a serious uphill battle to win me over. But this one seems... Special somehow. And at such a friendly price tag.

I love love love the theme here. The game looks solid and really enjoyable. But in a way it almost sounds like it is trying to do to much. Can it live up to my hopes for the theme?

I'd review this game if I had the chance - however, the price tag scared me off well into the campaign to begin with, so I suppose it'll have to wait.

I like story-themed games and fantasy games. This one definitely caught my eye - I'm watching it closely.
