For Those Who Own Less Than 50 Game Systems, Which Designers Have Designed Multiple Games You Own?

Even though I love learning about all of the games out there, as well as playing quite a few of them, I try to keep a pretty lean collection. As of right now, I have only 23 game systems, including party games and quick fillers. As I was looking over that collection the other day, I realized that to me at least, it is impressive that a couple designer names show up twice in my collection. That then inspired me to wonder about the other geeks out there with smaller collections.

So, to summarize:
-If you have fewer than 50 games systems, look for any designers who have designed at least 2 that you own and add them to this list.

-If you have more than 50 game systems, feel free to contribute in any other way you like, especially with comments.

The reason I am cutting it off at 50 is that as the numbers go higher than that, I'd be impressed by the gamer who doesn't have more than one game by the same designer. If you can actually say you don't, I'd be interested in hearing how you pulled that off.

I recently purchased my second game by this designer which is now in my personal top ten, Infiltration. he already had designed my favorite game system of all time, Dominion, so in effect, he was the inspiration for this list.

Even though Donald X. was the inspiration for the list, Dominic Crapuchettes was the first to qualify. I was a big fan of Wits & Wagers as a trivia game system, and when he made a similar system for witty answer style party games with Say Anything, it was an easy purchase. Of course, the funny thing is that in my two main circles of friends, usually one game is loved while the other is ignored. When hanging out with my Euro gamer friends, W&W is the game of choice when there is little time left in the evening, while my party game friends almost always immediately want to play Say Anything when given the chance.

Mr. Faidutti does also get a honorable mention. While I no longer own multiple games he's designed, I have in the past, before going on a big purge. Like many gamers, when first getting into the wide world of games, Citadels was one of my first, but I also owned Red November for quite a while, which was my introduction to co-op games.

I have several wargames that Richard Borg has designed.

Commands & Colors: Ancients
BattleLore
Commands & Colors: Napoleonics
Battle Cry: 150th Civil War Anniversary Edition
Memoir '44

I find them easy to learn and with a variety of scenarios to choose from. Many wargames start with the same scenario that you play time after time. These games are different every time. Expansions for all but Battle Cry introduce new playing parameters to the game that only make the game more interesting. Those that I have introduced to these games also like them due to ease of learning and good replay value.

Memoir '44 is probably the most diverse with many theaters of WWII represented.

I'm really surprised there's been no Uwe Rosenberg love so far...I own Agricola (plus several expansions) and Le Havre...I also have Terra Mystica (which he collaborated on) and I would have Ora Et Labora but it's in between printings and I'm not willing to pay the inflated price.

On my wishlist is the 2 player Agricola, and I'm looking forward to Glass Road and that Cave game debuting at Essen...

Tonight I'm ordering Hanabi so that means Antoine Bauza should be on the list since I already own 7 Wonders.

Jamey Stegmaier and Alan Stone are technically on the list because I own Viticulture and kickstarted Euphoria...

I'll order Kingdom Builder Big Box the second it's released so I guess Donald X. Vaccarino will be the next on my list as I already have Dominion and several expansions...

Currently I own The New Era and Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island. Both are great games and played very often. Especially The New Era, because it is very strategic but not too complicated 2 player game (may be played with more, but we haven't even tried that).
