I got heavily into board gaming about 4-5 years ago. I have some close friends who would always have really fun and interesting games, which peaked my interest into board gaming, so I also began to collect my own. I have heard of Gen Con numerous times from them and always wanted to at least go for a day. Finally, my wish has been granted and I'll be heading there for the first day with 2 good buddies of mine (Pat and Anthony) and 1 guy I just met, but he seems cool (George). Super excited! Anyway, this is my first Geek List and I just wanted list some games that caught my eye during the Gen Con preview I watched.

I just recently play Love Letter and now I must own a copy for myself. Don't really care if it's the original Japanese copy or the American version. I just wanna get a copy hopefully while I'm there. AEG seems to be getting some better games out and I'd like to see what else they might have to offer.

AEG is releasing this one, which I heard is pretty much Dominion with Trains and a board. I like Dominion so I'll wanna check this one out. I would definitely like to demo it, but not necessarily purchase.

From what I've heard, a dice game that involves taking over people islands?.....I'd assume. The premise sounds enjoyable and I'll be making a stop over by APE Games booth to check this out.

Ares Games is reprinting this game. I like working together with people and having secret that is kept from other players so this game seems like it would be up my alley. Even though this game is older, I'd like to possibly demo it, or maybe I'll just end up picking it up. Either way, I am interested in this title.

I am a big fan of Bruno Fadutti and haven't been let down him very often, *cough* Lost Temple *cough*. It seems like a fun game with Citadels aspects throughout it as well. Would love to demo and possible purchase.

Pat introduced me to this game a good while back and I have a lot of fun playing it. Word is, that there will be a giant version available for purchase at Gen Con and since I do not own the game, would love to grab a giant copy for myself!

I researched Suburbia last year and decided to give it a shoot. I was very pleased with the game and really enjoy playing. I'll definitely be interested in picking up the expansion here.

I have Pat to blame for this. He is a Days of Wonder junkie and since he loves all there games, by association, I have played most of them now and to be honest, I do enjoy them myself. I will gladly check out there booth and possibly pick up a game or two depending on what they have. At least, I would like to demo one of their titles.

I believe this game will only be available to demo, but the super nerdy chemistry concept of it sounds like it will have a solid depth and strategy to the game. I would really like to try this one out and if I enjoy it pick a copy up in the future. Dice Hate Me Games will see me visiting to check this one out.

Not huge into miniatures, but I've enjoy a few of there games and wouldn't mind checking out their booth at the Con. Also, I'm sure Pat will wanna head there and I'll be looking to him to show me the ropes a little at my first Gen Con. Also also, I hope they might surprise with a new game or announcement that'll excite me!

Tom Vasel can review game pretty well, but can he design them? That's what I plan to find out when I check out his Kickstarter game. That is, if it gets shipped out in time to the backers. I'd like to just check this out. He did hit a weak spot with a good theme it seems for me. Gangsters? I'm listening.....

Zen gardening you might ask? I would be down for making some awesome rock formations. A weird concept that I feel might be pretty fun actually. I will hopefully get a demo of this or at least see it played and maybe pick up a copy for myself.

I like the art and goofy anime look to it. Wouldn't mind trying this out. Still need to research a little more into the gameplay of the game itself. Looks fun though.

I have never even heard of the first, but this looks like a game I might be able to pull some of my less board gamer friends into gaming a bit more with me so I definitely want to check this one out.

Mayfair happens to be reprinting this one and the premise sound fun so I'd like to check it out and maybe pick up a copy. There have been a lot of games I've been introduced to that have been out of print and I don't wanna necessarily miss out on this game.

Yay! I have recently begun playing many of their games and I am very happy with them. I missed out early on with Kings of Air and Steam and would like to possibly pick up a copy of that. I already Kickstarted Dungeon Roll and am expecting that game very soon!

Cool looking dice that remind me of Quarriors. I have heard good things and would definitely like to check this one out and possibly pick it up. Hopefully demo it as well. I enjoy a lot of lighter games along with the heavier ones too.
