This is a geeklist to gather and show those games which use a deck of standard playing cards as part or all of the components, but in which those cards are presented in a solid form, such as a tile or a domino, rather than a card.

Feel free to add to the list, but please remember: standard playing cards only, and they must be in something other than card form. Also, please stay with games that use playing card bits as pieces, not simply images on the board or playing surface.

There seems to be no shortage of "cards on dice" games, so games having the cards within the game as tiles or dominoes would be especially interesting.

I'll start with this one because it's a complete deck of cards made like dominoes, and so can be used in theory to play any card game that would be played with standard cards (though you'd probably want domino racks if you were playing bridge!).

These would be perfect for playing cards at the pool or beach. Here is a photo of the pieces:

In addition to being sold as "Cardominoes", these sets are also known as card dominoes or poker dominoes.

The cards in this game are flat plastic tiles:

The back of each tile is recessed to fit onto the front of another so that they may be stacked. A rack is provided, as shown in the photo, and the primary idea of the set is to play Klondike solitaire, but there is no reason the tiles couldn't be used for other games.

This game, despite the title, can actually be played by up to four players.

The card tiles are exceptionally well made, like thin dominoes, and there are two additional suits beyond the traditional four:

Beyond the game as presented, these tiles could easily be used for many games!

The game of Rummy 21 uses a standard deck of cards and a deck of cards on tiles, which are very reminiscent of the tiles in Solitaire Tiles:

Kings Cribbage is a meeting of Scrabble and Cribbage.

The tiles are nicely made of wood, but unfortunately are only divided into light and dark suits instead of all four suits:

This one is a blend of Scrabble and poker.

These are the tiles from the "Tile Poker" version:

The tiles in the "Poker Tiles" version have a different design, but there isn't a good image of those (I'll have to add one later); you can look at a larger copy of the representative image to see what those are like.

If you blend Scrabble with gin rummy, you might get GinnyKub.

The tiles in this one are very similar to those in Tile Poker, but are differentiated between light and dark suits in a way similar to Kings Cribbage.

On the other hand, with 9 dice having a total of 54 faces, Square Shooters has all 52 cards plus two jokers from a standard deck:

These dice are large and very well made, and can be used for a lot of games -- I would recommend this game as an autograb if you ever spot one in a thrift store!

If 8 sides are good, are 12 sides better? These are the dice used in Royal Poker; with 60 sides available, the entire 52-card deck is represented, along with 8 wild cards:

I'd love to find one of these in a thrift shop someday.

This was a GAMES Magazine Best Family game for 1994. Essentially it is Yahtzee like game with 13 prismatic dice where you roll for poker hands and form a four in a row on the board (However, a space can be stolen from an opponent by rolling a better hand.)
