If I Was a Satisficers, I Would Still Have These Games
- Paul D(prd1982)Australia
I'm a maximizer. I'm also not a board game collection. What this means is that I'm eager to get ride of games that aren't good enough. So, this list is made of up games which are good, but not great. If I were a collector, I'd still own them. But while they're good -- I'd be content to play them occasionally if in the right mood -- it's almost always the case that there's something else (something better) on my self I'd rather play.Recommend
It occurred to me that this means I've now 'previously owned' a perfectly respectable board game collection. Sometimes, they're games others own. If I get a game and I don't think it's the best of its type, I'll trade/sell/etc in pursuit of something better. (Note: not all games I used to own meet the minimum threshold of my satisficer counterpart, though... sometimes I didn't even get around to trying a game (sometimes, I got a better off (eg. trade); other times, the rules or quality of the bits were enough); such games, while they might be good enough, aren't on this list.
This geeklist is more for my own interest, but feel free to comment if you've stumbled upon it.
