Göteborg - Next biggest city in Sweden, located on the map of this excellent game. As you can see from the cover we have snow all year around, and Santa walks around with his raindeer in the train station.

We have a convention each year - Gothcon, but I've never been, since it is during easter.

From Basel, Switzerland (which also is on the Thurn and Taxis-map).

Recently, I became a member of a local boardgame association with people from all over the world. So boardgaming in Basel can be a really multi-cultural experience.

I don't know of any public boardgame-event in Basel.
But there's a yearly game fair in Bern, which is not far away (of course not - nothing is far away in little Switzerland ) It's nice, but there are mainly retailers and shops and not publishers.

I'm from Clinton, Maine, USA.

We game every Friday night with a group of friends. Most Saturdays it's just the two of us gaming at our home, but occasionally we travel 45 minutes and play with another game group.

We attend a couple small local gaming conventions (SnowCon Maine and Maine Gaming Con) and a larger one (Total Con) in Massachusetts.

Near city of Vaasa. In game's map you see battling site of Isokyrö. Real live there is memorial site of battle of Napue. That is about 40 km from here.

We have public gaming nights every tuesdays. Usually 10 people come to play. Mean age is about 30 year and usually all are male.

Ottawa. Terminus of Colonel John Bys' canal built after the war of 1812 to provide alternate movement should the Yanks seize the neck of the St lawrence river. It's been the nations' capital since confederation.
Noted festivals are the winter festival which has tended to be melted out in recent years and the Tulip Fest in the spring (come early as the tulips bloom and are finished earlier each year). Planted around the city are large tulip beds with bulbs that are a gift from Holland for giving refuge to the Dutch royal family during WW2. A room in the Civic hospital was temporarily named sovereign Dutch territory for Queen Beatrices birth.
Ottawa is home to the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Nature, the museum of science and technology (with some nice locomotives to clamber over for you 18xx fans), the Museum of Civilization over the river in Hull and the air and space museum amongst others.
There are at least five regular games groups in the area that meet every week or two with many smaller ones. There are half a dozen fine game shops including Fandom 2, the Comic Book Shoppe, the Wizards' tower and Games for all (which is web only) I know there are a couple over the river and I'm sure others will fill in my blanks.

From the city of Waukesha in Waukesha County which is in Wisconsin in which Green Bay (Packers) and Milwaukee (Brewers and Bucks) are also located.

We play a game almost every night at home. There are Cons in the area from time to time. The only one we've really attended is the Hoopla about an hour away.

Kristianstad in southern Sweden. A lovely city to visit but not to grow up in, which is why I now live in Nairobi. I don't know about the gaming scene in Kristianstad but here in Nairobi it's surprisingly vibrant, mainly due to the large amount ex-pats.

I am from Vilnius, which is the capital of Lithuania - a small green country on the eastern coast of the Baltic sea. We have several gaming clubs here, but I am not able to visit them very often, because I have two children, who require dad's attention. They are not into gaming very much yet, but I'll try to correct that. The sooner the better. Most of the gaming I get is with my wife and another couple.

Considering the gaming opportunities around - I know one pub (Būsi trečias). A very nice place in Vilnius old town, which provides some games to play. A good (locally brewed) beer, a nice selection of games. The games are available several times a week in the evenings. I am also very excited about a gaming club in Vilnius University. I had only a small opportunity to peek inside and it looked promisingly. However, I think it is available to the students and staff of the university only.
