Figuratively speaking, of course. I'm wondering how many games there are that have an elimination component at the end where one payer cannot win no matter how well they did. The title is inspired by the first game on the list. Add some more if you can think of them.

At the end of The Hunger Games: District 12 Strategy Game, there is a reaping. You can try to have better odds by not taking tesserae, but anyone could be picked. That player is fed to the crocodiles and cannot win.

This one is stretching a little bit, but by the end of the game, any players that don't have at least one majority, loses the game regardless of how many of the tokens he/she got. This is different of losing for having less points - since the players without a majority are out of the dispute.

This is a team game but with odd players, the odd player is the Courtesan. If the courtesan ends up with the least elegance points (VP), the team that contributed the least to the courtesan is fed to the crocodiles.
