Welcome to another one of the EVER POPULAR Thrift Guild Generosity Logistics Boxes.

Your First Citizen is sponsoring yet another Chain of Generosity. We fortunate thrifters often find multiple copies of games that others just can't seem to find at all, so as a part of my Redistribution Plan for our Thrift Wealth and to assist in future prosperity, it's time to kick-off another Logistics Box. Here's your chance to assist your fellow citizens of the Thrift State.

This is limited to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters members; you should be a member of the Guild AND have posted a thrifty find on one of the weekly lists within the last year.

The rules are pretty simple, but please pay attention, here's how it will work:

1) Folks will register on this list. Registration will close sometime on the morning of 7 October 2013. Once it closes to new entries, the list will turn into a reporting list (i.e. tell us what you got).

2) When you receive the box, simply take out 0 to all the games out of the box. Replace them with as many as you wish, but there must be at least 2 games in the box. REPORT EVERYTHING YOU TAKE OUT REGARDLESS IF YOU INTEND TO KEEP IT OR NOT.

[b]There must be at least 2 games in the box that are complete and of a rating 5.4 or greater (note rating difference from the Container).
ANY games with a 0 for a rating or less than 3 ratings will be treated as 5.4. There can be more in the box and these can be incomplete. It would be a courtesy if you posted a note in the game of what is present/missing if incomplete.

3) Post what you took out on THIS registration list (which will turn into a report your finds list). You must post to the list; if you took nothing out of the box, post that you took nothing and passed it along. At no time do you reveal any games that remain in the box, only what you removed.

Also post whether there is a duplicate of any game in the box - not what the duplicate is, but that there is a duplicate. You are allowed to call foul if there are less than 2 games that are below a 5.4 rating. This will serve as public humiliation to the last person to have the box... (I'm benevolent, but Redistribution requires honor!)

4) Select a person to send to... You can select folks that are easier for you to ship to or by games you think they will enjoy based on what is in the box.

5) When you select the person, mark them off the list included in the box - ensure this list stays with the box as it goes around. I'll repeat: ensure this list stays with the box as it goes around. This is essentially a list of the people with their addresses!

NOTE: The expectation here is that you will use a LARGE FLAT RATE USPS BOX (either the Boardgame Box or a standard Flat Rate Box) you are free to change the box to a Regional Box if that is useful for you to accommodate the size without making it too expensive. Only Canadians with a US Postal Address can participate in this chain unfortunately.

While the expectation is that there will be at least 2 complete games in the box with a rating of 5.4 or greater. There is often many more. It is expected that people will squeeze games inside other games as "if it fits it ships!"

Proper participation is on your honor, but I believe we fellow Citizens can do this without State oversight.

I'll be starting us off and I'll be the end of the chain (i.e. I'll be on this list with the expectation I am last). When it gets back to me, the chain is complete.

When you register, please provide the following details:

+ your user name

+ your location: city, state, and zipcode (Canadians need to have a US address) ALSO, email me your full address, so I can add it to the list that will go in the box.

+ dates you know you will not be around for more than 4-5 days, that way people can avoid sending it to you as the next person in the chain when you aren't around to receive it

+ 4-5 games that you are currently enjoying (and a why you like them if you like),

+ 4-5 you have seen more than once on the thrift lists you want - the first game you are interested in should be the Geeklist entry item to catch people's attention,

+ 4-5 things you like in games (mechanics, themes, etc.)

These can be used to help guide people to select what they add into the box.

For this list, YOU MUST be a Thrift Guild member to participate. It isn't that hard to join the best community within BGG.

All games exchanged through the Generosity Lists are expected to be Thrift finds. (They are not required to be though.) This means they may have tape or writing on the boxes, box damage (dishing, split corners), and possibly copies of the rules. All game pieces (or at least nice SUITABLE replacements) will be present unless noted otherwise. At least 2 games will be a higher rating than 5.4 and be complete.

Now for the State's Legal Disclaimer:
By joining this list, you 1) understand and agree to these rules and 2) promise you will ship any item to the person to be gifted within 3 standard work days to the best of your ability. All shipments are to be done using a large flat rate box or if you desire a regional box.

Thanks everyone and I'll be interested to see how many sign-up.

I sometimes have some form of contest, so standby and watch the list comments.

Days Unavailable: We are hoping to move into our new house the weekend of November 15th, so count me out that weekend.

Almost all of our games are packed away, so the games we are enjoying now are either thrift finds since packing or games that fit into the small box we kept handy:
Hex - Abstract? Check. Connection? Check. Excellent game that we can get to the table when we do not have a lot of time.
Carcassonne - Another quick and (fairly) portable game to get to the table.
Dungeon Roll - I Kickstarted this one and it is excellent. Quick, light and a very small footprint for storage.
Quiddler - My wife and I are suckers for word games.
Monopoly Express - Another small, light and fast game to play in-between packing and cleaning.

I would love to see any game on my wishlist, but these I have seen on the thrift lists:
Tsuro - Tsuro looks beautiful and I think my wife would love it.
Ta Yü - My wife and I both enjoy abstract connection games. This would fit in with our copies of Twixt and Hex.
San Juan - We love Puerto Rico, but cannot get it to the table enough. 2 Player San Juan would scratch that itch more often.
Ringgz & Exago - Another couple of abstracts I see here and there on the thrift lists.

Things you like in games:
Abstract
Zombies
Strategy
Word Games
2-player or 4-player

Days Unavailable: I have a trip to Japan (for work) for the first 2 weeks on November, other than that, no other immediate travel plans.
Update: Congress seems to have an issue with my trip to Japan so they shut the government down. Probably not going in November now.

Games I am currently enjoying
Memoir 44. Still getting this to the table
Carcassonne - Fun and I have an app for my Nook to practice
Dungeon Roll - I just traded for this one and looking forward to playing it very soon.
X-Wing minis- rich theme and cool minis, what's not to love?
Just got Martian Fluxx & Eco Fluxx in a local Math Trade

I would love to see any game on my wishlist, but these I have seen on the thrift lists:
Battlelore- I was in the process of painting my first set during a move and many of the troops have disappeared. I still have the board and cards, almost unplayed. Looking for a set of the minis, so parts copies are just the thing. Expansions are welcomed as well
Axis & Allies minis (War At Sea & Angels 20)
Still looking for Family Fluxx, Stoner Fluxx and Star Fluxx

Things you like in games:
Games with miniatures
Strategy
War Games

OK, just getting around to closing things off...

Your First Citizen is continually humbled by the Citizen's participation in my Redistribution Plan; the plan has borne out may things fun, and none as much fun as the Generosity boxes...

Your First Citizen watches over the Citizenry from 22044, VA, Falls Church. I often find myself in the Capital of Rosebud (see prior contest a year or two ago), but find myself needing to be near my family...

I'm currently enjoying the following games:

Marrakech
El Grande
The Speicherstadt
Master Plan
Viticulture
Alien Frontiers
Bombay

These all are hits with my friends and family that I play with...

I would really like to obtain the following:

Thunder Road
Samarkand
Aladdin's Dragons
Tales of the Arabian Nights
Monad (preferably the missing cards to the 3M Gamette version I graciously received before: 1 Bonus card, 1 light blue Identity card, and 1 Commons card)
Anything Heroscape.

I really enjoy sci-fi themes, worker placement, area control, area influence, medieval themes, and pretty much anything that my 11 year old boy might like.
