I played this with Paul B and an Eric I had not met before. We played the basic game since none of us had played and wanted to keep it quick. Paul expected the game to be longer and didn't switch to VPs fast enough. I was probably not efficient enough and also not aggressive enough about scoring and Eric won the day.
I think now that I have played it once and understand the advanced game pieces better, I could probably teach the advanced game and not have to start with the basic one every time I have a new player.
It played just over an hour and that time should be plenty for most players and it should get down with experience.
It is really quite a bit different than other games by Kramer/Kiesling. I will continue to bring it.
