Hi guys (and lady, Audrey, please, don't ever leave me alone with these types at such a late hour, ever)
This is yesterday's list.
Statistics, all brand new: 6 guests (Jonathan the bearded new Cylone, Thomas the Newbie and perfect Battlestar explainer, Laurens the new scooter-bee, Rich and Audrey our newly/oldly-weds, Bouko our freshly crowned group game designer, Chris our freshman in-house multi-tasker, Corinna recently turned redhead Cylone and Torsten, just back from the cold into the cold war.
Started after 6, finished well after 1. That's not even permitted, according to the geek calendar, which due to a much lamented glitch only allows you to have sessions till 23.30.
Guys, if you like this, please give me thunbs-up, I am aiming for some microbadge fame.

What should have been a quick warm-up game turned into a full-blown Martian attack when we tackled Laurens' newest purchse. Tom being in the lead most of the time with almost, almost all the goal conditions on the table in front of him almost all of the time, we kept changing the draw rules to minimal just before it was Jonathan's turn, only to change them back after him. No bad intentions! Rich and Audrey arriving as reinforcements only reinforced the chaos of having to draw ever more cards, with cows appearing left and right and from above. You, know, I have no idea who won this game as I was making green coffee for the Martins, or blinking or eating sweets or chatting to Laurens - and then it happened in a nano-second without me. Not me, that's for sure.

Aaaaah, and what an epic battle we had!
At first, it turned out, all of us where so good. We had a peaceful life on Galactica (and some presidents and engineers off it), watching movies, getting stuffed, using the holodeck, oh wait, wrong movie. Not many cylones turned up to do some light fighting to keep the old muscles trained. Corinna kept moaning how it was so much more exciting last time, with more ships bla, bla, the sweets disappeared at an alarming rate, boredom was quickly setting in. And then, and then:
We drew the second Schizophrenia card (Am I a cylone or not?) and it turns out the goodest guy in the entire universe, nay multiverse, namely the bearded cylone Jonathan, was sympathizing with the cylones! Shocking, most of all for himself! We had all counted on Tom, who smiled so devilishly while piling up those quorum cards and never sharing them with us! Or on quiet Laurens. Surely he was hiding a red eye beam, or was there another reason he never took his new motorcycle helmet off all evening?
With Jonathan revealed as evil (yeah, evil!) and himself being the most unhappy about it, the journey quickly deteriorated. Well, no, it got boring again. And then the big bang: There is another, a female! (Hang on, in the movies, do they ever have boob plates, the cylones, I mean? No? That's sexist! I want boob-plated cylones! Is there a microbadge for this?
Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, things turning evil and so forth. With two cylones, things quickly deteriorated. NOT! The two humans were hanging on for dear life! One step forward, two steps back - Cylone tango. But we fought their population down to 2 (million), and one last die roll that none of us could influence (SOOOO annoying) brought the decision: The human bastards jumped and won. Granted, the die roll was an 8 ...

Meanwhile, on the other table, in a galaxy far, far away, positively medieval stuff happened: Bouko, Torsten and our couple fresh back from their honeymoon tried desperately to defend some flimsy castle walls against gangs of marauding trolls, goblins and whatnots. At times they managed to eradicate them. Lost anyway. Shame on you, noble knights and lady!

Another epic battle, at a later period of time, between Torsten and Bouko.
Torsten (the USA) lost.

New edition.
The four cylones, ahem, humans had to play something to calm their nerves. What better place than a tropical island, slowly sinking beneath you, with sharks eating Corinna, boats capsized by whales under everyone and no new boats anywhere in sight? I think Tom was the best swimmer.

We also played Bouko's space game. Had to build a spaceship and loot some ancient artifact while trying to keep our erratic hyperdrives in check, avoiding to run into asteroids and each other, shooting torpedoes and outrunning them etc.

Fun!
