Once again the stars aligned and The Bearded came together to pray to the gods of dice, cards, and luck.

We're all getting psyched about the upcoming BGG.Con and we wanted to make sure we're as prepped and ready as possible. Gaming together more and more often before the Con is really the only way to maintain not only our dignity but also our sanity, which Cthulu is constantly jacking with.

This game has QUICKLY become a staple among The Bearded. It's a great game night starter, pallet cleanser, or game night ender. A fantastically simple game that I simply can't get enough of.

And I've really tried to think on this, but there are literally no other games on the market where it's perfectly okay to go out of the game on the first draw of a card. you won't score a Love Letter token that round but you'll only be required to wait about 3 more minutes before you can resume play.

In that time you can grab a beer, use the facilities, or laugh at others as they too get shown the proverbial Love Letter door.

First time playing this game.

Two initial things I REALLY like about this game. 1) The components are the best I've ever seen in a game. Second to none. 2) The artwork is fantastic. It makes the whole gaming experience just a little better.

I introduced the game which in and of itself is usually an adventure. I tend to forget minor rules that really turn out to be major rules at the end of the game. Not so much this time. I did forget to mention that $10 can be traded in for 1 Respect point at the end, but I'm not sure it would have had much impact on the final score. I read the rules twice, skimmed them throughout the game, and watched Tom Vasel's walkthrough of the game play twice before bringing this one to the table.

Overall this game is really fun if you like screwing with your gaming buddies. We decided to run with the rule that all agreements were binding. That may or may not change in the future, but as we were learning the game, the last thing we needed was tempers flaring over "FU" moments.

Those moments still came as Sten constantly screwed with everyone on the board, including himself if the final Respect tally was any indication.

The feedback was pretty positive on the game and I look forward to trying this one again in the near future.

I should mention that we included the Kickstarter "expansion" Nothing Persona: Young Turks. It's an assortment of really well done Gangster cards that you can add to the deck. I'm not sure what they add to the game, though I've read that they can really make the game a little crazier with their action abilities.

I managed to win by a good margin, though I suspect strategies will change drastically next time.

This has been one of those staple games for The Bearded for about a year now. A Solid auction/resource management game with a nice theme and really good artwork.

I missed the bus on this game when it first came out and again when FunAgain had a number of copies at BGG.Con 2012. However, I recently kickstarted the expansion which allowed me to get the base as well. Psyched!

This game makes it to our table frequently. The length of play is nice and it's really simple to teach and remember.

Sten and I both got hammered. Sten kept pulling single coin cards and I kept getting outbid for licences to fish. Still a fun game. Nice win for Mike.

This is another one of those before/end of a gaming evening games. It's short and sweet and we have a lot of fun bluffing the crap out of each other.

Mike managed two victories in a row before being teamed up on in the third game. Lee won the last one with a last second assassination of Sten's character.

Looking forward to eventually getting our hands on Coup: Reformation. I like the team aspect that expansion promises.

Sten left by the time this game got to the table. He had work or something the next day. Lame.

This is our second time to play this game. There's a lot to like about the game, not least of which is the multiple avenues to a victory.

I went after coins as fast as I could. Mike and Lee both went after the card sequence win. Mike was able to get his hands on a couple of warehouses early which allowed for ship grabs later. A good assortment of those resource cards allowed him to pull off the win with little more than 17 coins to his name. Lee wasn't far behind him. I had managed 49 coins but still would have needed another 3-4 rounds to get the required 75.

All in all a good little game and one I will play again sooner rather than later.
