There are many great games out there, but some of them never find their market. This modest little Geeklist is my attempt to get some of those games better known.

The restrictions are as follows:

- The game must have 25 or fewer ratings on BGG.
- The game must have been out for at least 6 months (I've excluded all of the Essen games for now).
- You must like the game enough to want to sing its praises.

If you want to add your own items to the list, please do. The easiest way to generate your list is to replace your user name with mine in this link:

http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/sweetsweetdoughnuts...

Make sure you add in the number of voters by clicking on columns in the top left and checking Num voters. Scroll to the bottom of the list and note any suitable candidates.

Nautilus is from a designer I've been keeping my eye on for a little while now; Charles Chevallier. Chevallier's games tend to play quickly, have a lot of noise so that it isn't clear what your best move is and look pretty.

Consequently, they also tend not to be the kinds of games that BGG crave.

Nautilus plays a little like Battle Line, but only if you could only play one card into each row, you could play cards in to either your side or your opponents and there were more traitor and redeploy cards. It's not thematic at all and you really won't feel as though you're battling to be promoted to Captain Nemo's first mate, but it's a tricky little game.

Equinox was still in a pre-production edition when I played it; it certainly had the look of a late stage prototype but was apparently available for purchase as a friend bought it.

In Equinox each player is playing a tile from a shared pool which will either flip other tiles, destroy tiles or score points. Once all the tiles are placed, some end-game tiles resolve and then we score. Each tile is different and loosely themed, but this is an abstract game.

If this gets a Hive like production I can see it becoming massively popular.

I think it's a great combination of Boggle and Scrabble. Packs small too.

Like Boggle, unlike Scrabble, everyone has the same letters to work with, but, you are building a crossword arrangement like Scrabble.

(note there are 2 primary rulesets and some variants)

I have been singing this game's praise for a while now, but only managed to get it up to 21 votes. It is my favorite dexterity game.
Rules are simple: You get a point for pushing your opponent's marble off its horse without falling down yourself. First player to ten points wins. There are some team rules which I also really like, although they transform the game from a 2 minute one to a 15 minute one.

Simply put: Command and Conquer the board game.

Terrific little wargame in space with a hidden "share price" ending scenario that is affected by a media crew observing company losses/security deaths.

Fixed 5 game starting hand of random tech cards that will make every game different and it does not play out too long.

4 hidden command chips (1 of which will always be a dud) that are placed in turn order (and then activated in priority order between the players) so there is some game theory and bluffing between the combatants.

Make sure you download the most recent rulebook!

A great little wargame hybrid with very few exceptions.
