Probably a little too heavy for Dice Tower list makers (Geoff, Giles - where are your top 100s?).

A spectacular space exploration simulator that expands the scope of boardgaming experience.

The original and best Civilization game. Its scrawny descendants, Sid Meier's Civilization and Through The Ages made the light-weight Dice Tower lists, but this one is the real deal.

Several millennia older than any Dice Tower top 100 game, go is the ultimate game with longevity and the the original choice for pimping out.

As a semi-cooperative negotiating game, Republic of Rome is anathema to Dice Tower tastes. A flawed masterpiece, this game is more about the player interactions and immersive verisimilitude of the historical setting than playing the game itself.

One of my favorite games. I enjoy flicking my ships around and building my space empire. I don't mind that a ship sometimes goes off when it hits a spot in the board. Towards the end it just looks great looking at all the planets you have occupied.

Gaining influence of politicians and using their powers to crush your rivals. Intrigue, blackmail, backstabbing, it has it all.

In my opinion, a direct ancestor to Nothing Personal, but with a bonus of hidden influence, so you never really know who ultimately is in control.
