Games Played at Bay Area Games Day CX 2013-11-04
- Dave Eisen(dkeisen)United States
Good meeting. A little over crowded, unfortunately, as some newcomers gave up on finding table space mid-afternoon and went home. I suppose that's better than not enough attendees.
Disappointed that I saw none of the new games from Essen played. This will not be the case at our next meeting in December, post BGG.CON. I personally had a great time playing both an early prototype expansion to one of my favorites from 2012: New Amsterdam and finally getting a chance to teach my friend Eric and his 9 year old son 1846: The Race for the Midwest.
Bay Area Games Day is the largest and longest-running regular event for open gaming in the San Francisco Bay Area. We meet every 4-8 weeks at the Los Altos Public Library, 13 S. San Antonio Rd., Los Altos, about 15 miles west (north?) of San Jose.
Further information about the group and the related Silicon Valley Boardgamers available at our Yahoo group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/gamesday
Our next meeting is on Sunday, December 15, as the room is in high demand around the holidays and we were unable to book our preferred Saturday.
Here is what we played this week. Please make corrections/updates as necessary.
