More details can be found in the Official Print 'n Play Secret Santa Thread.

Please add an item to this list and provide the following details:

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

This list will be used by your PnP Santa to select games for you.
The more detail you add, the better for everyone. What you post might give us fellow PnP-ers some new ideas what to ask or what to craft for our own targets.

Santa, I'll be more than happy with anything you wish to send. In years past, I've had very generous Santas and have been happy with everything received. Thanks to one Santa, I've been exposed to 18xx games and became an instant fan!

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I've always wanted to make a set of Valor & Victory since Memoir '44 is very popular with my students, especially my Autism Spectrum Disorder students. I've also been eyeing up Oh No! There Goes Tokyo. Also, I had a student make Roboderby Express for a class project last year and really liked it but he kept it for himself (Can you blame him?)

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Same as #1. Also any of Todd Sanders' Aether Captains games. They look so great and I've read many great reviews. Just haven't had a chance to print some out yet.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Games that take hours to play don't usually get much play as I like to use them in my classroom (30-45 mins max).

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Don't play many solitaire games. Games that play well with 2 get a lot of play. Also, games that work well with large groups that I can use in my classroom are a bonus!

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

I play games with three groups. 1 - My game buddies are adults - we play rarely but love to try out new PnP games. 2 - Play in my classroom with either traditional high school aged students or with my students with special needs who have a middle school reading/math level. 3 - My own children ages 4, 6, & 8. My oldest can play almost any game and beat the pants off me.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I really like theme-based games. I'm also a sucker for holiday themed games. Again, I'll be more than happy with anything you send my way. Merry Printmas!

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I've updated my Wishlist and will continue to do so. I know I am a tough person to craft something for because I've made so many good PnP games over the years or been gifted with then in previous PnPSs. I really like some of the solo games in this years 2013 Solo contest

Pirate Adventure
Maquis
The Herald

which should be over in enough time for the solo designers to update their rules and game components and still have Santa time to make them

I keep my "Owned" list pretty well up to date so you can check there to see what I may not have yet built.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Well some of the big ones - Zaibatsu, Magic Realm, Carthaginian Redesign of 1889. Though they might be a lot to build. Milky Way Express might fit the bill

and Hoyuk

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Not interested in Zombies very much or WW1/2 games. older roman era postcard wargames might be of interest.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Solitaire and 2 player primarily

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

No, don't have any children to play games with

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

For those who know what I do in my own work, you'll know I like games that are beautifully designed and narratively/thematically strong. Really admire Kwanchi and Carthaginian's work and would gladly keep in my collection anything they had redesigned.

I also would not mind you contacting me either as yourself or under the anonymous Santa guise if you are having a tough time finding something for me and wanting to ask some questions about a game you've found that you think I may not know about. We're all friends here!

Oh and if anyone wants to build any of my games for another BGGer but needs something special (specially designed box label, cards in a PNG format to post on printerstudio.com, something else slightly unique and one of a kind (like a special Marvel Board)) just send me a message and i'll be glad to help out

Anything from this list would be amazing. I'd be more than happy with help pimping my current games as well. Anything I've listed as Want to Play is strictly for PnP games also.

1 What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I've really gotten into good horror lately (yes Zombies are ok as long as the gameplay is actually good), but I'm good with most themes as long as it is interesting and the theme should not be just pasted on.

2 What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Pretty much everything on that list has been on there since last year...
I'd love anything done by Kwanchai, Carthaginian, Nick Hayes or Todd Sanders (Check my list to see ones I may have already).

3 Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

I'm really not into abstracts unless there's some kind of interesting theme with really great art (Tsuro is a good example).

I've never played one, but I have almost zero interest in wargames. If the theme was wacky or something I might be persuaded.

I've also never played an 18whatever game because they all take so long to play. I'd be up for trying one if it looked like Carthiginian's redesign of 1889, but didn't take 3 hours to play

4 Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I like to play with myself...shake Probably 75% of my gaming is solo. But 75% of that is playing games that aren't technically soloable, playing multiple players myself, I guess it's weird but I like it. .1% of my gaming is 3+ players. The other 24.9% is 2-players, 75% of which is with my wife who isn't a heavy gamer. (enough math for today)

5 Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

I have a 2-year old that I've started teaching a few games (Yahtzee Jr., Jenga, Hisss), but he loves eating paper and cardboard so any kid's games wood have to be pretty sturdy like wood or something.

6 Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

Things I especially like in games are:

d10-1 being very thematic, with interesting/unique themes.

d10-2 have play times of an hour or less.

d10-3 short setup time or small footprint definitely undermines #2.

d10-4 solo or 2-player, but scalable to a slightly larger group.

d10-5 cool components. I love pimping out games, but I really love games that already are pimped!

d10-6 wood. dunno why, but I love wood.

d10-7 dice. (see my numbering of this entry) I don't necessarily like games that are too random because of them though...

Above all, I want us both to have fun with this. I'm sure whatever you make will be great! Have fun making the games and don't get too stressed about perfection

Dear Santa,

1)I really enjoy "Express" versions of larger titles. I love my copy of Dune Express and have played BSG Express several times with a friend's copy.

2) I prefer space themes to fantasy. The big projects that I have been putting of are my own copy of BSG Express and a full version of Dune (Ilya's version is just magnificent!)

3) Zombies are not my thing. I have yet to play any zombie themed game that I really enjoyed.

4)I mostly play solitaire or small (2-4 player) group games.

5)My nephew, age 10, does play games with me when we can get together. As he currently lives 500 miles away, that is not very often.

6) The main reason I enjoy this event so much is seeing the creations of my fellow gamers. I think the time spent crafting a gift for someone shows a greater spirit of generosity than spending any amount of money.

Hi Santa

I would be happy with whatever you choose to make- part of the reason I have signed up to this is to be exposed to something new! Please make your own judgements about something I would enjoy based on my current collection/ratings! A few other guidelines that might be useful:

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
I made a copy of BSG express, and have enjoyed playing that. I love hidden role games, real-time games and anything with a sense of fun. Having said that, I enjoy a brain burner too (Agricola is probably my favourite game)

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
Nothing immediately jumps out here- feel free to use your imagination!

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
I'm pretty open minded on this, though my regular game group turn their noses up at drier themes.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
I don't really play solitaire games. My usual gaming habits are to play 2 player with my wife, or in my regular group of 4 people. I also sometimes play in a larger group with friends at work- we play a lot of The Resistance!

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
Yes- I play some young children's games with my 3 year old (e.g. Obstgartchen, Go Away Monster)

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
I think the main thing is that it'd be great to have something with a reasonable play time (e.g. under an hour). That's the best way to ensure it's likely to get a decent amount of play!

edit: just in case you'd like some specific suggestions, I'll try to add a few here in the next couple of days. But really, whatever you think is good will be great!
edit2: Here's a specific wishlist if you would like some inspiration:

Kronocell
Bomb Squad
Smash Monster Rampage!
Light Speed
Dead of Night
Zeppelin Strike
Skirmish Wars: Advance Tactics
Lemonade Stall
Hydras
Chunky Fighters
Witch Hunt

And finally, thank you very much for doing this!

I would really like a copy of Ilya's redesign of the old Avalon Hill Dune, but that's a lot of work, so I mainly just used that to have an item with a pretty picture to use for this list entry. ;-)

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I like co-operative games (Ghost Stories, Police Precinct), and games which require forward planning (recently that means worker-placement and a bit of deckbuilding; I've particularly enjoyed games of Lords of Waterdeep and Trains of late).

My girlfriend likes thematic games (Dragons!), dice games (Elder Sign, King of Tokyo) and social storytelling games (Ruse).

I like games I can play with my girlfriend!

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

I have a hang-up about making cards, I don't know why, but I rarely make games with lots of cards in... other than that, I can't think of anything in particular, I'm afraid.

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it a bit more, I've always been curious about Aether Captains: Pirates and Traders. I've made or purchased from Artscow a few of Todd's games already, but for some reason this one has never made it.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Despite owning and largely enjoying Zombicide and Jasper and Zot, I tend to get instantly turned off by a zombie theme. Largely because it often seems like the theme is the important thing to the designer and the mechanics are a secondary concern... making such games not really very much fun unless you're a hardcore zombie-theme fan.

Other than that, I can't think of much.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I mostly either play solitaire games or games with three or four players... occasionally more, but 2-player games are pretty rare. That said, for the right 2-player game I'm not averse to going out of my way to find an opponent.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Nope.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

If I could pick my ideal gift, I guess it would probably be a three to five player co-op or worker-placement game... but realistically, I'm easy - if there's something you think I'd like, I'd be more than happy to receive it! I've updated my collection and added comments to a few more items, so that should be fairly up-to-date.

I would note, though, that I either already have or plan to have constructed and/or played all the entries from this year's Solitaire design contest, at least in their contest forms.

Aether captains: Capek Golem
Aether captains: Triad 2
The Hammer of Thor
Nahua
Nile
Pocket civ

I am not asking to have so many games by my SSanta, just that he/she picks the one(s) that suit him/her! There are many small games and a few big ones, but I will be happy about *any* game I receive! meeple

1 - This year's interest: I think my interest in dice games has diminished in favour of games that have more challenges in terms of mechanics, like trade, eurogames and hexes.

2 - games I have put off making: because I do not have much money (I am a P/T teacher), I tend to wait for those Artscow coupons for making the occasional card games (2 per year). For the same reasons, I can't build big games like 'Magic Realm' or 'The Hammer of Thor', just because there aren't many cheap EU game bits e-shop.

3 - big no-no: no zombies for me this year!

4 - size: I play solitaire, 2 p and small group games!

5 - children: I play some games with children from age 8 onwards, but this is occasional.

6 - preference: no preference as to the wishlist per se, as the games have been selected for Secret Santa, so just pick the one(s) that you, Secret Santa, feel comfortable making! blush

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I will try and update my wishlist, but won't get to it before Monday evening at the earliest. I know I am a tough person to craft something for because I've made so many PnP games over the years as I generally craft something I'm interested in shortly after seeing it.

I keep my "Owned" list pretty well up to date so you can check there and under Previously Owned to see what I have made already. Additionally I link to 3 geeklists on my profile page listing the games I've made over the past three years.

Some of the smaller games I would enjoy trying (big games below):

a. 7 Dice Wonders
b. Perhaps one of Todd Sander's Aether Captains games? Not big on solitaire, but I'd be open to trying one!

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Well some of the big ones - Zaibatsu, Pitlane, Magic Realm, Ilya's redesign of Dune.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Not interested in Zombies/horror themes at all. I also rarely play solitaire games...I prefer playing boardgames with others. I also rarely play party games.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I generally play mostly 3-5 player games.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Yes, when my son is willing to do so...he's 9. We often enjoy playing co-op games together when we do play.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I really like Kwanchi and Carthaginian's work and would gladly keep in my collection just about anything they had redesigned.

If nothing I've listed works for you, then by all means send me something you think I might enjoy! I'm pretty open to trying most games at least once

-thanks to Todd for his post...any similarities between his post and mine are due to my plagarism

Hi

Well, I will write some more games, but do not take seriously. I had such a good surprise from last year's pnp santa, that the order of this year will be "surprise me (again)"

Some hints:
1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
Something nice, but I (almost) don't care about theme

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
Some dice games, It is really hard to find (idented/wood/blank) dices in Brazil

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
No zombies!, but if you think that the game is really nice, just do it!

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
I always play 2-p games (with my gf), I hardly play big group games. small group in the middle of that

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
Nops

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
well, good 2p games is the big hint. And check my own list, maybe I have done it already zombie

Now, for a possible wishlist:
Island Trader
Notre Dame Express
Infection Express
Open Rails Express: Cleveland Interurban
Goblin Slayer

If you need/want some more suggestions, let me know. But remeber, I love good surprises!

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
I'm always partial to space games, and will usually try anything with a space theme. I'm honestly not currently looking at any new games right now, but I do like pick-up-and deliver games. I generally enjoy anything tactical. Not really a fan of anything that requires a lot of bluffing or negotiation.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
I've been thinking about making Pocket Civ, but I haven't gotten around to it.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
Not really honestly, though over-the-top gore isn't my cup of tea in case there are games like that. Like I said before, not really a fan of deep negotiation games, I like economic or tactical games mostly.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
I usually play with small groups (3-6), but occasionally I'll have seven or eight to play. I've tried some solitaire games, but still haven't found one that hooked me, but I'm up to try more. I rarely have occasion to play 2-player games.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
I do not.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
I am partial to trying new expansion maps and boards for games (Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Age of Steam and so on), and have designed several myself. I also like making new components for games; I've made improvements to my copy of Merchant of Venus and other games as well.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I am interested in almost all types of games and themes. I am really interested at the moment in BSG Express, Valor and Victory and Patrol: Lost, as well as Skirmish Wars. My want to play list is a huge list of PNP games I am interested in that I am sure will grow after the PNP festivities this year.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

I have put off making Skirmish Wars and Patrol: Lost the longest. I think they both look really great. As well as the ticket to ride emerald city.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

I am open to any kind of game. My previously owned list is the PNP games I allready have or have in various stages of beign built.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I play all of the above. Although I typically play with 2 then 3 then 4

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

My children are currently too small to play games so not yet.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I just want to say that I kind of use this list to assess what PNP games from this year are cool so if you look at my lists and you think man I bet he would love this game I bet I will. Also just thanks for taking the time to do this it is awesome and great fun for everyone and I love seeing what cool tricks I can learn from what you do.

I'm answering these two questions together, because my interest in PnP has really just started this year. I've spent a lot of time looking (read: oohing and aahing) at games, and I've been playing around with different techniques for making stuff, but I haven't built very many complete games yet.

There are several games from recent contests that have caught my eye:

Kronocell
Ride the Rail
The Grand Flix
The Cottonwood Contest
The Cottonwood Contest: Cousins
Lightspeed
Roma Celer
Zeppelin Strike
Maquis
Machination
Jekyll & Hyde
Schemata

Other established games that I've considered are:

Infection Express
Pocket Civ
Chunky Fighters

Also, the work of Todd Sanders just looks amazing.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Zombie games, wargames, and 18XX aren't really my thing.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I do play a decent amount of solitaire games, and I also play a lot of games with my wife. When I play in groups, it's usually 4 players, and we usually have to restrict it to games that can be played in an hour or less.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Yes! I play games with my two sons, ages 9 and 7.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I usually find myself playing with casual gamers, so anything that is easy to explain and step right into is a big plus. Otherwise, I'm just looking forward to seeing what you put together!

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
I am interested in almost all types of games, especially 4x, and themes except zombies.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
There are not really any must have games at this moment that I have not already started to put together.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
I do not really like zombie games.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
I play all of the above.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
My children are ages 8 to 17 and love to play anything.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
I am sorry that I do not have a proper want list for PnP games. I will need to work on this.

Sorry I'm late.

My work schedule has me at inconvenient (for not at work online stuff) and can only really get into this stuff on Fridays - Sundays.

That said:

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

Used to have a quickly printed off Bindle Rails. Would love to have it again.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Been almost getting around to Maquis. That's on my wishlist too.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Not a zombie fan. There's lots of zombie themed games that I could play, but I'd first change all zombie references and pieces to bunnies or something.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I am a solo gamer. Nothing but.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

No kids.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

Stick to my Wishlist. Or, retheme a zombie game with rabbits.

Thanks a bunch, Santa!!

Santa? Are you there? Have you geekmailed me yet? sniff.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party here; I'm new to the whole PnP scene and a complete PnP Secret Santa rookie. I'm super pumped to participate though so here goes...

My wishlist is mostly up to date but that doesn't mean that I would refuse anything that isn't on the list. I might simply not know about it yet.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I'm mostly interested in beautifully illustrated games. Not that I don't take into consideration the gameplay, but visuals definitely go a long way for me.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Bigger projects like a copy of Dune Express or Melee are on my todo list but as I'm still perfecting my skills, I want to wait until my confidence is way up there.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

As it seems to be for most others here, I'm not a huge fan of zombies; but I do admit that I'd play something in that theme if it was a gift! High fantasy is also not really my thing.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I'm mostly a solo and smaller group gamer.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Not at the moment.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

As I've mentioned, I'm quite new to this so I am already appreciative of the whole process, even if it's just to be presented with new PnP titles that I wasn't aware of. Thanks in advance to my Secret Santa! And Happy Holidays to all!

This is one of my favorite BGG things!

Hi Santa! I've been an extraordinarily good girl this year.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

Zaibatsu I've been watching this one, especially once Nick got involved.
Zanshin Small & pretty!
L'esprit de Marie Antoinette I'd love the Opalpyr redesign

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Wiz-War I keep starting on this & getting distracted. This was one of the first games I downloaded, and then the redesigns started. Ilya's art is so lovely, I waffle between getting the cards done professionally or just printing them off myself.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

I'm not fond of Zombies, war games, or anything risque.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Mostly small group games, 2-5 players. I haven't played any solitaire games, despite being a HUGE fan of Todd Sanders & making many of his games.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

I do, they are gamer kids, 10-13, they can take on adults.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I'm a sucker for gorgeous art. I like a wide variety of games, tile games charm me. I've made a lot of PnP games, so check my owned/preowned list! Games that fit in my backpack that I could play with friends while my kids are at the park would be very appreciated right now.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
This year I have focused largely on solitaire games. I've been running a solitaire design contest on BGG for the last three years and have made all the games from that. The exception to that is Shadow Agent. I made a really simple low ink copy but have never gotten around to printing the full art version.

I also like games with very nice artwork. I'm a fan of Todd Sanders, Kwanchai Moriya, and carthaginian. I have a lot of their games already but there are several that I haven't built myself yet.
I'd like to get:
The Fomorian War
Neolithic Ops
1800

I enjoy solitaire and two player wargames. There are several solitaire games from King's College that I'd enjoy getting.
Sensuikan - Eastern Solomons Sept 1942
Second Lebanon War
ONS.5 - Outward North Atlantic Slow Convoy Five (1943)

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
There are several games from Good Little Games that I've meant to make but haven't yet. I have Muses but would like anything else they publish.
I've also wanted to make the following but never have. (This list is provided just to give you some ideas. You don't have to make anything from the list below.)
BSG Express
Notre Dame Express
Island Of D
Island Of D 2: The Shadow of Dawn
Marooned Part I: Open Sea
Dungeon in a Tin
Gotham: Building the American City
Sink the Carrier
Eastern Front 2
The Sneak's War
Sprawl
Country Trains
Egyptian Flood
The Grand Flix

Larger games include:
Dune redesign by [filepage=61499]Ilya 77[/filepage]
Outlaws: Adventures in the Old West
Leader Series - I realize that these games are not free but if you're feeling extra generous, I'd love anything from the series. (No pressure on this - please don't feel any obligation to buy me anything for PNP Santa)
Dead of Night
Zombie Plague
Sprawl
Country Trains
The Big Time!
Shadow Agent
Kronocell
Orient Express

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
I don't play a lot of multiplayer games right now. I mostly play games that are playable solo or by two players. Outside of that, I'm pretty open to all sorts of games and themes though.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
Solitaire Games and Two Player Games.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
My oldest child is four and only understands very simple games such as Snail's Pace Race. I haven't seen many PNP games for that age bracket but I'd love to be surprised if you know of something.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
I enjoy horror themed and zombie board games.

Also, I have done a terrible job at keeping my games owned list up to date this year. A lot of my PNP projects aren't showing as owned. I need to resolve this but just haven't had time. If you have any questions about whether or not I own a game, please feel to contact me through the PNP Santa account.

Edit:
I'd also love to get Parsec X. It looks pretty cool!

I like a variety of games but lately have been into the longer wargames and strategy games.

My own user page shows what I have made in my PnP constructions so you can take a look at what I have done for others and myself.

I do not have any specifics so surprise me.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

Hmm... I haven't been able to play as much this year as I would like, and haven't kept an eye on the new stuff... But. I like history, especially ancient history, like Egyptians and Aztecs etc, nature is quite fun, sci-fi and fantasy are always a hit with me, music is a bonus. I love colourful patterns, so winding paths or dots etc are always a hit. Abstracts are nice, although I would prefer story a teeny bit more at the moment.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Smash Monster Rampage. I made a "pocket" copy for a competition target once, because its 80!!!! pages to print out. So I printed 2 pages on 1, made all the buildings collapsible and fit it all into a video case. I think the recipient was happy.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

I am not sure about loads of fiddly bits and long rules. I mean, I would love Merchant of Venus, but it's unlikely I would get to play it much - hubby and me are both knackered in the evenings and we can't leave stuff out for days.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Mostly 2 player games, either with hubby or daughter, sometimes all three together, or, when we visit the in-laws, the number might swell up to 5.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Yes, a 5-yo, who is very good at memory games and plays a mean connect4

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

As I said in my profile, I have marked all the PnP stuff on my wishlist with "PnP" and commented on some of them. If you know a game that is similar to those, feel free to surprise me, but in any case there should be plenty of choice.

At the moment I would prefer several little games to one biggish one, but I reserve the right to change my mind before Christmas.

tuskel,
sincerely

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I am into sci-fi and horror and my wife is into fantasy.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

I am really curious about 18XX games, though I’ve never built or played one. Haven't gotten around to making a decktet yet, either.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

No zombies please, my wife is super freaked out by them. I’d be into any solo war games, but my wife is not a fan.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Solitaire and two player mostly. Only on occasion do we have a third or fourth.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

Nope.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

Sorry if I’m not being specific enough for you, but I really am cool with whatever strikes your fancy to make! I always think that is the fun of gift giving - too much of a list takes away the surprise. I’ve only made myself copies of zombie in my pocket, a couple of the postcard war games, and redesigns of Love Letter and R, so anything you make I will likely not have and enjoy.
Thanks!

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

This year I've finally found myself being drawn to playing solo games. Up until now I've always tried to buy and make games that play 3+ players (since that's the groups I play with).

I'm a sucker for sci-fi or fantasy, or anything with modern or clean lines in its graphics.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

Planet Masters, Dune, anything by Todd Sanders or Nick Hayes that isn't already in my collection.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

No 2-player games. I very nearly never get a chance to play 1-on-1. On the order of three times in the past eleven years.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Solitaire and 3+ but usually 5+ players.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

With my son, aged 3. He plays Tok Tok Woodman, Mamma Mia!, Slamwich and A la Carte.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I love discovering new games. If Santa knows of a game that conflicts with all my criteria but is absolutely wonderful, I'll be glad to have it. There's nothing better to recommend a game than the passion of person giving it to you.

EDIT:
To my secret santa: I would like a 14.2TW fusion torch very much, thank you!
(I hope that's cryptic enough for anyone else reading this to pause briefly in confusion.)

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

I had a realization on my way to Essen this year. The realization is that I like pretty games with pasted on themes. Or better way to put this is that I'm a mechanisms first guy. Games I most enjoy have multiple scoring pathways and meaningful choices to the end. Action selection is the mechanisms which I like to most. Action selection for me can be worker placement, playing a card for an action or rolling dice and picking what I can do.

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

My wishlist is as follows:
BSG Express
The Cottonwood Contest
Dune Express
The Fomorian War
[thing=107669]Ibyron[/thing]
Magic Realm
Maquis
Kronocell
Rolling Stock
Slapshot

I have a wish for my santa. I would prefer to get less games but more content in those. I think I would be more happy with 1 game with 10 pages to print than in 5 games with 2 pages to print. That said I'm just happy to participate and eagerly await my Santa to amaze me.

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

Zombies are not pretty. War also is not pretty.

Also games I already played are something I would not prefer to have. I rate every game I play so please Santa check them.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

Usually I play games which accommodate 1 to 4 players. Solo play is a plus not a must.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?

While I have a newborn at home. He's not ready to play so with adults only (for now).

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

This is meant to be a happy occasion so these answers are just a nod towards you. Do what you can and enjoy doing it.

Orient Express seems to be the game du jour this year and I'm nothing if not a band wagonner. I have no preference for theme but a small list of games would include:
Skirmish Wars: Advance Tactics
Wheels of Time
Wheels of Steel
Notre Dame Express
The Legend of Robin Hood
The Grand Flix

I'd be happy to receive any game. If I receive a game that I already have then I will simply donate it to the local game group where it will get plenty of love.

I tend not to play solitaire games as I'd rather make the games then play them. Any game playable by more than 2 is much more likely to get played by me.

1. What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?
- I like me some co-op or semi co-op kind of games. I really have no preference to theme, really. I've been curious lately about train themed games, like Open Rails Origins or something lighter. I also like modular boards

2. What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?
- There are a few really.
Deep Space Disaster
[thing=107669][/thing]
Gotham: Building the American City
InterUrban

3. Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?
- Not a huge fan of abstracts. If you have one in mind, or know something that might fit for me, by all means make it! I got a copy of GLIK last year and enjoyed it.

4. Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?
- I don't really play solitaire games. The few solitaire games I have I've made because they interested me at the time. This isn't to say that I wouldn't mind getting one though. Most of the games I like are small group style games.

5. Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
- I don't play games with kids. Most of the children I am around are between 2 and 6, and aren't ready for much in the way of board games. My buddies six year old likes to watch and ask questions though, and that's promising for the future at least.

6. Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.
- I'm a fan of dungeon crawl/adventure games. I've been feeling the need to give a train game a try. The stuff on this list is supposed to be a guideline. I have things like DarkStar and The Manhattan Project on my list, but those are larger games that you need access to files you need to pay for. If for some reason something larger on my list is made, great! If not, also great! It's all guidelines and such.

Hey there Santa! No I hadn't forgot to send you a wishlist, its just been hectic with saving lives and trying hard to get enough hours. But here it is!

1 What games or game themes are you most interested in this year?

Ever since last year I've been a really big fan of some of the express games. Sure I have the large box of Arkham horror, but setting it up and trying to get people to settle down to play it just is really hard. It's really too bad there isn't an express version of Mansions of Madness, but alas...

2 What games have you put off making for yourself and would love to play?

I love cooperative games. Sure light competitive games are fun, but I tend to play with people that don't have time to learn a hefty rule book just in order to have a shot at playing competitively. I like dice games too I've really been putting off putting together a copy of 7 Dice Wonder. Perhaps I'll sit down after the holidays I've also been looking at Orient Express as well

3 Are there any games or game themes that you prefer not to get?

I'd like to evade the zombie themed games. I've got plenty, and alas never really play them.

4 Do you play solitaire games, small group games, large group games or all of the above?

I generally try to stick to small group games. For large group games I've already got my Cards Against Humanity

5 Do you play games with children? If so, what ages?
I really haven't played much with kids, but the significant other has 2 youngsters of her own but only 1 (age 5) is really ready to try something out like a boardgame.

6 Anything else you enjoy or think would help Santa find the right gift for you.

I'm excited to get whatever Santa puts together for me. I love opening packages and presents, and a surprise is always welcomed when one can buy just about anything they truly need/want with a little saving or extra working. One of my current favorites right now is Chrononauts (picked up all the expansions) and I've enjoyed Fluxx a lot in the past. Keep it simple and fun and you're going to be a big hit at my house!

PS I've also updated my personal wishlist on my profile for more ideas!
